Smile Carbon fiber Side grill upgrade

Exclusively for BMW M2

Carbon fiber, often called the black gold, is an ultimate High-Tech material. It is expensive (just ask your BMW dealer) and very labor intensive / complicated to produce. Carbon fiber is much stronger than steel and extremely light (eg Formula 1 Monocoque and suspension arms). In addition, a first quality carbon fiber has eye-catching optical properties. Every right-minded Motorsport enthusiast is familiar with this. We apply the same fine-meshed tissue structure and sizing of the threads as BMW.

The price is per set of two.

I admire product innovation from smaller companies but this one again leaves me scratching my head. Is there really a demand for an internal material to be used externally??
Externally it does not match any 3rd party or OEM carbon accessory. Open pore carbon (for a number of reasons) lives in-doors only IMO.
Odd choice of product for me.

Dear Sir.

Following your remarks the following:

A few month ago at a M2-meeting in Germany ( the M2 Mecca ) we showed some of our preliminary-carbonfibre products ( interior and exteriorparts )to more than 250 M2-owners.
We have the products in 3 processing stages show :

1 Naked carbonfibre ( like the photos on our website )

2 Shiny carbonfibre ( with a thin coating of transparant lacquer but with
the typical Carbonfibre-relief )

3 Full shiny( with a number of lacquer layers, so like the original Performance
trunklidspoiler.

The reason that 80% of the present M2 owners chose the naked Carbonfibre-
version, that make us to decide to start temporary with this. Maybe the
preference in other countries is different..............?!?. How popular are the
naked carbonfibre exhaustpipes!

Everyone,s taste is not the same.
Your message therefore made us decide to change our website in Januar and offer three Carbonfibre options for the external components.

We thank you very much for your criticism !

Kind regards

Jan Wierenga
