RKP trunk spoiler from IND
Time for the next cosmetic add on, the RKP trunk spoiler from IND
1st off, watch their video and follow it to a T and installation is not complicated. Hardest part is the removal of the old spoiler and prep of the trunk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=o5S2FIF3mZU If you look at the spoiler there is no tape on the ends, and that bothered me so was going to put tape on it. Don't....... After test fitting it I think the spoiler pulls up closer to the trunk surface without it. Believe me once it is on...it is on. The tape that is on it is quite wide. I marked the corners and the forward line, take note.....there is a sweet spot and once you find it the spoiler will just sit there....you really do not need more. I applied the adhesive promoter and since it was in the upper 40's I slightly heated the trunk with a heat gun to help the tape adhere....it fit so good I really did not have to do that. I put it on starting in the center and working my way out to the edges, easy peasy. Then go back and remove the promoter residue with isopropyl alcohol. Lastly wiped it down with some detail spray. This thing fit like a glove and kind of has a CSL look. I much prefer it to the M Performance spoiler that looks like it is just stuck on top of the trunk....this looks like there was thought and design put in it. Perfect Thanks to Jesal & Nate @IND and RKP |

Having done this install three times now, I highly recommend cutting the 3m transfer paper in the middle so you can start from the middle and pull it out from the middle as you work your way out. Worked a lot better than coming from the sides.
Looks like your install came out great! |
