Good idea!! Have you done this? It would save a lot of time and risk of breaking something.

Yes the red button that I bought came with double sided tape. There is no risk of breaking anything and you end up installing the button in 10 seconds.

Good to hear. Sounds like a person could get the 3M tape used to fasten trim or cameras to windows and be just fine.
