Hang tag is the way to go (or a dash-note), along with putting it on the service order. They often think of washing it as doing you a favor and won't check the order sheet, but if they see the sign then they are good to skip it. I just made up a super large print Word document, nothing fancy.

Sorry OT....

Hopefully they replaced the bolts as they're single use TTY stretch bolts.

If you stretch them twice they'll be likely to break.

They're only a couple of £ each.

Agree with your swirls comments though.

Same: I print a large-text note that says “no wash please” and tape it to the dash.

I DIY most maintenance items, so I also print out my maintenance records and put it on the passenger seat so that the SA isn’t coming back to me with all the “missed” scheduled maintenance items they think the car needs.

I agree and assume they did, considering they should be following BMW prescribed procedures. I'll have to re-read the work order to confirm.

I have the pass through MP wing so they said they cant wash it. proves they just take it to an automated car wash. no thankyou

The times my dealer washed the car because I forgot to say I didn't want one, they scraped the wheels. Thankfully, they repaired the wheels on their dime. Twice.
