What windshield wipers do we have?

I feel like such a choad asking this question, but I couldn't find an answer using our forums advanced search and Google. Even checked the owner's manual and nothing. What wipers do we have? I usually pick up Bosch Icons but the damn mount on our M2 is different (F-you BMW for doing that, btw).

And how the heck has this not been asked before? LOL

How on earth does no one know the answer to this? Has no one swapped their wipers themselves? Only the dealer has touched their wipers?

LOL

Here you go.. Part number 61615A43583.

BTW, I have a pair of new M2 OEM wiper blades I don't need anymore just sitting in my garage collecting dust.

If you're interested, PM me and we could probably work something out.

I let the dealer swap them. In San Diego I never use them anyway. It might rain enough to need them a few times a year.

Correct size but wrong mount (unless I'm looking at the picture incorrectly).

And thank you Poochie for the part number.

It is not perfect, but when I need a part I go to RealOEM.com: https://www.realoem.com/

I was able to find the part number and a few online dealerships (some on Amazon) that will sell OE wiper blade replacements.

That said, if within the three-year maintenance period, just take it in to the dealer and wait while they replace your blades.

I usually buy the michelin brand ones from costco for like 8 bucks each. I did so this year again and have been massively disappointed with them. Considering going back to the pricey options because it does appear you get what you pay for.

This really is the best option. Skip any cheapo alternatives. The factory wipers really are startlingly better than any other car I have every owned, and with fcp you only pay for it once - almost as good as getting them free from the dealership during the free maintenance days. You can also get real OEM windshiled washer fluid from them, but I don't think they'll lifetime rep that.

+1. I've always gone with factory, although a bit of FOMO when I come across magazine reviews. Lots of Bosch vs. Valeo threads on bimmerpost.

I used to just buy the BMW rubber inserts, but it looks like not available for F87/F22. It's definitely easier just to replace the whole blade assembly.

I run Bosch replacements.
They have slightly larger coverage compared to the OE blades.

BMW OEM wiper blades are effectively Bosch AeroTwins. This has been the case for the last few generations of most BMWs.

I ordered replacement wipers from fcpeuro and the wipers i received were valeo. They look identical to the original wipers I replaced aside from the valeo markings.

Coz best wipers are OE wipers, everyone knows that.

I just pick them up from BMW parts dept when I'm passing, always in stock, fit them myself in like 10 seconds. Same price or less than other makes.

Aftermarket / generic wipers never as good.
