I have a 21 M2 Comp.
I was wondering if anyone has switched out the USB A in the center console or cup holder area to fit a new USB C?
Which part # is plug and play? Maybe from a newer G series if the backend connections are the same. thanks

I just use a USB to USB C cable. Got it at Best Buy.

There are plenty of cables and adapter that fit the bill. For cheaper

You’d probably be better off getting a USB C splitter for the cigarette lighter upfront. You can find one on Amazon or Temu for like 5 bucks.

I sprung for the BMW 3 pack of phone chargers. And I want everybody tomkniw about it.

The 2023 SAVs have USB-A in the cup holder and USB-C in the center console. Fancy. I got a 2020 Ford F-350 has both out in the open. Fancier!

I was looking into doing this retrofit a while ago but couldn't find the correct PN anywhere. Best bet might be to order a USB C port from a G20 and see if the connectors on the back are even the same to begin with

I was thinking about this, but I couldn't find a way to see if the connectors are the same or not. I just want to change the glove box port. Let us know if you end up figuring it out!
