It is in fact 2 different areas. I was confused and unsure as well but tried and was correct that there are 2 areas. The lower area is not accessible unless the windshield is off. Some may be ok with prying just the top area without taking off the windshield but this is for those that still have the noise.

So back to square one. The rattle has returned. To confirm, which is the 2nd area that requires prying? Is it towards the upper part of the image? Any help appreciated. This is driving me insane.

Right next to the rubber grommets. The section would be covered by the glass.

Bumping this up. Has anyone recently had this a-pillar noise and found a fix without removing windshield. Tried the DIY but no luck
