The 16th if fast approaching and as of now there is no news. Figured I would throw something against the wall and see if anyone has heard anything. My dealer has been amazing on keeping me updated so I'm fishing.

This is a quote from the BMW performance center to my SA and on to me from just 2 days ago. Btw my car had already arrived at the port but apparently didn't make it into VPC at that time. "Unfortunately we still cannot schedule this client as the vehicle still has vehicle holds on it. The vehicle has not arrived at the VPC yet and once it arrives it will not be transported anywhere until the holds are released. We will contact you as soon as the holds are released to schedule this client."

Yea seems weird. My SA told me its arriving at VPC on 4/5 but its sitting around somewhere near the port currently I guess. Also, my grills and gills I was able to add to the order won't actually be installed until then. Hmm. Looking like there is no chance of an early pickup for me! Gives me time to find a good xpel installer near me I guess.

My HEA is sitting at the Final Processing Center, awaiting shipment to dealer. Waiting to hear from the SA that it's arrived at their site. We are planning on pickup on the 16th but both of us are hoping for earlier, keeping fingers crossed

My HEA is scheduled for performance center delivery but hasnt been scheduled. My plan is I'll take PCD if it is on or before the 16th. If its later they can send it to the dealer. I called Genius earlier in the week and the guy said an invoice had been sent to trucking company but date wasn't scheduled, then i called yesterday and he made no mention of invoice and my SA said it wasn't out there. I wonder if invoice got pulled back. It sure seems like a CLusterF.

I was speaking to PCD for scheduling a date for myself. They essentially told me the same thing.

"No dates can be scheduled until the release hold is lifted."

Mine is still on the other side of the pond waiting to be shipped though.

I call BMW Genius once a week (usually on Friday). No news to report other than they said they would likely know something about the car's release date in April. Coincidentally, next Friday is 4/1. Dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :P

It does come from a reliable GM source.

Oddly enough, here in Canada they're shipped and stored at dealership instead of port

What's the point only having it there for 6 days? Seems really stupid to me.

I'm referencing the discrepancy in what different dealers have said regarding the cars release to customers

Probably two solid days to clean/detail after port storage.

Then another day to fix the bolt issue (if you're part of the recall).

And then add three more days for the sales folk to take it on joy rides :

My Sales Agreement states 0 miles on odometer. It's understandable there would be some reading based on loading and off loading the vehicle, but anything more than that, I'll be charging $1000.00/mile for joy rides. Just saying

Picking mine up at the performance center. They'll probably take mine for a spin on the track.

You do realize that the ODO is reset by BMW right ? So they could drive it 100 miles and set it again right as its delivered so it has 0.4 miles on it even though it made it all the way from Germany...

Maybe at the Assembly plant not the dealer or port, that is illegal!
