losing traction in 4th gear (new intercooler)

I recently installed the VRSF 5'' intercooler on my stock tune M2. Only other performance mod is the fabspeed downpipe.

I see traction flashing in 4th gear. I'm also losing traction 3rd gear in COMFORT mode flashing 3 times all the way to redline.

My tires are fine, however I think I do need an alignment. It also doesn't' help the weather has been cold and it was around 55 degrees on the highway.

Anyone installed an intercooler can tell me about their experience with power gains and overall car performance? I'm planning to do bm3 stage 1 eventually.

In Vegas myself, went the methanol route this time around.

No intercooler experience on this platform..but its the same for any other turbo car...if its a quality intercooler.

You're experiencing a happier motor. You've increased not power, but the threshold in which your car will push for max power before it starts pull that power.

It's rather pathetic that they have a PoS intercooler in there considering its the most aggressive N55 in BMW history....from factory.

P.S.

White or blue M2? May have spotted the car a few times...there are only so many out here.

Just curious, how do you find the lag with that intercooler?

the traction issues is probably more from the cold weather...most summer tires are not designed to run any colder then 45 degrees...if the ambient temp is 55, the road temp it self is probably much colder.

With the new intercooler, does it take longer for the car to warm up or is it the same as stock because enhanced cooling doesn't kick in in comfort mode?

Does it really matter if it's in COMFORT rather than sport? Same amount of traction control engaged and car doesnt get more powerful in sport, so don't understand the COMFORT!!!!! part.

It always seems like people think drivingmodes add X% horsepower for some reason, sorry for off topic.

It's very negligible and the pull feels more potent esp at mid and upper range.

Hope you don't mind me hijacking, how are you bipassing the catless DP code? Did you code it out without a tune? or using an 02 spacer?

Depending on driving mode the car will allow more slip. It's the most conservative in comfort mode vs dsc off u will notice the tires will spin more freely. U get the better acceleration in higher modes. U will notice a different feel if u try traction mode (closest thing to dsc off) vs sport +

The fabspeed downpipe is not catless. It's a 200cel catted downpipe that doesn't throw a CEL. If u have catless then I would say tune or potentially 02 spacer if it allows it.
