BMW Northwest

I just recently heard that BMW Northwest was no longer an M certified dealer. Does anyone know if this is true?

Could be, last time they still have brand new 2016 M4 GTS, that's what happens when a dealer mark up car out of the market.

like this blogger shows,
https://www.bmwblog.com/2017/06/21/d...ts-new-bmw-m3/

There is a fine line between Free-market and Greed, some dealers cross that line and BMWNA may not be too happy

One of the Portland dealerships is and one isn't. I don't think that I'd go to the other just to get my break-in service done at an M Certified dealer or anything, especially considering that dealership is in an inconvenient location and is sort of weird.

I hope not- I put down a deposit and am first on the waiting list there for an allocation. If they are not M certified, are their M allocations gone as well?

I don’t know, but they are the only dealer with zero 2019 M cars in stock.

That is strange. It looks like I may have a front row seat to a show that I was not expecting to see!

No, my dealership isn't M Certified and they have plenty of M's.

As a backup, I would contact Seattle BMW and Bellevue BMW and see if either has an allocation available. It doesn’t hurt to be on more than one list.

Yeah, Portland BMW is M Certified according to the list I looked at. They aren't conveniently located for me. I've talked to them a couple of times over the years and ended up not very interested in buying from them. Kuni and Portland both have M3CS's right now so I'm not sure the M Certified program means much for inventory.

Not many know the pecking order when it comes to allocation for sure, thanks to gag order by BMWNA on sponsors nowadays.

But I'd go to dealers with big inventory of 2-series and M-cars in order to score M2C sooner, as well as better than average dealer's rating.
Rule of thumbs, buying M-cars, go to biggest dealer buying non-M go to smaller dealer.

That is why I suggested going to BMW Seattle.

For what its worth I just picked up my M2C from BMW Northwest this weekend. Best buying experience I've had with any of my BMWs. Probably depends on the SA. I worked with a guy named Kevin who was phenomenal. A month prior I was in there and this kid laughed at me and said I'd never get my hands on an M2C... Guess he'll never get his hands on my commission lol! Kevin was legit though.

I'll add to this by saying I was shopping all three dealers for an M2C and I ended up going with BMW NW as their delivery date was in 5 months compared to Bellevue ~ 6months and Seattle ~ 1 year. Seattle had 20 ppl on the wait list, Bellevue had 2 and NW didn't say anything about a wait list. I just put my deposit down last night.

Either way, can't wait to drive this car

Thank you for the review of Kevin at BMWNW! Happy to say I'm on the allocation list now thanks to your comments.

I have a 2018 M2 from BMW Seattle. I am not aware of a facebook group.

I was offered an M2C but passed. https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1542437
