Congrats! I had a similar transition. 6th gen Camaro SS to F80 ZCP to M2C. Feel exactly the same.

Those do look better - I just have to ask what the install process is. It can't be as simple as popping the existing ones out and popping the new ones back in, can it?

If you have a manual transmission, the button switch literally takes 15 min and you don't have to remove the steering wheel. If you have the auto you will need to do all of this ^^^ to remove the shifters in order to get to the T-20 torx that releases the button pod. I did the red as well and it looks great.

But now I also wonder what the difference is between the transmissions that cause the need to dissemble the steering wheel for one of them. |

There is a thread on this somewhere.. Found it, but again, you don't need to go through all of these steps with the manual trans. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1493828 |

Some people have used plastic trim tools and popped them out. I'm not that guy. It's not a long process and less brutal to remove them the right way. You do not need to remove the steering wheel. DCT or MT.

Installed M Performance coil overs and Future Classic spacers 12mm front and 10mm rear. Best quality spacers I have used.

Car looks great! Running DIS is on my bucket list but I need to get past break-in first. Maybe I’ll run into you at a future HPDE. Would like to see that lowered stance up close! 👍

After digesting 50+ pages on this thread, I have my mods wish list (this thread ). Here's where I am so far...
✔️ Tint 15% Llumar (except windshield) ✔️ ASD Harness (very happy with outcome!) ✔️ Suntek PPF (front bumper, partial hood/fenders, rocker panels, rear quarter, mirrors, gas cap) Next on the list: Reflectors, clutch stop, full screen carplay, wheel spacers and, as soon as I find a willing shop with a lift, paint the hanging nether regions |
