This is my definitive version of the CSL. I always thought that my render was missing a unique CSL look. And one of the most important thing for a high performance version of the M2 is to have improved cooling. Therefore it would make sense for the CSL to get larger air intakes. So I've modified the side intakes, removing the vertical part of the fangs and thinning the upper portion of it. Now the CSL has it's own proper intakes with bigger cooling volume and unique look.

I'm happy with this design and hope you like it too.

Attached with new colours. I particularly like the brown which is a retro 1980's colour.

Isn't it funny how different we all are? I don't like big wings, which is the main reason that I have always preferred the 911R or GT3 Touring to the regular GT3 or RS - just not a fan of the wings that stick up very much.

Trunk spoiler for me.

Final version is excellent! though I think fang should've been retained, an icon and a core element of front fascia for M2. You can make it even slimmer, try please.

All those air intakes upfront would cause a TON of drag and frontend lift. Can't see it happening without an advanced aero approach to ventilate that trapped air. looks cool though

I don't think your opinion is based on facts... These air intakes are not dissimilar to the M5's...

OK, now the rear view.

- Lowered suspension with coilovers.
- Front and rear tracks have widened and bodywork altered accordingly.
- Wider front & rear wheels & tyres. 768M wheels with CCB (from the M4 CS).
- Front & rear air exhausts outlets to expel air from inside the wheel wells (to combat drag).
- Carbon fibre roof.
- Carbon fibre dual pane wing (from the Vision GT concept) & boot. CSL logo.
- Enlarged exhaust outlets.

Hi @Paul-Bracq-BMW, I really appreciate your efforts which were put into making these amazing renders of M2C and CSL. I'm just wondering, would it be possible for you to make some renders of the silver version of 788M and 763M style wheels?
The two styles of 788M we've seen currently are pure-black and bicolor(mostly black with very little silver). And 763M is always all-black. (except gold on the F80 America special edition.......and I am not a big fan of gold 763M) I am just curious how 763 and 788 would look like in all silver, and if silver makes a different impression. Thanks in advance.

Hahaha, sorry Paul, I did not express myself very clearly. still thanks for replying.

What I meant was, could you please create some renders of the car with silver wheels? because we never seen silver 788/763.

Thanks brother

Here's my take on the rear for an M2 CSL.
I don't like the wheels, but this is what I've found good enough to fit.
As you can see, no wing, because I think the GTS style one simply doesn't go well with the car, so I took some inspiration from the M3 CSL with its duck tail, which I find it very suitable for M2 as well.

New rear diffuser + some additional vents at the bottom of the bumper - not sure about their form; I might rethink them.

They are based on my own racing experimentation with my 1M front end and on track testing. I obviously don't know how the air is being evacuated but that's my first impression

The air from the wheel wells is evacuated via vents in the rear of both front fender and rear bumper. One thing you can't see in the big left side intake is the main portion is to cool the oil cooler, but the left part of it channels the air to the brakes, which is then evacuated via the vent on the fender. The 1M does not have the same aerodynamic characteristics of the M2, which I think is more balanced aerodynamically (at least visually) ;-). The front splitter will help for front end lift too I believe... I thought using the GTS' splitter but boy, it is ugly...

The wing serves a purpose: more downforce to the rear end since the heavier engine will unbalance the weight distribution, the duck tail is nice and I've thought about it, but would not be enough for the modern day CSL, which would sit at the top of the M2 range and will be used for track days.

The vents you've made a a bit crude looking (I don't believe you need more vents in the bumper, this is not a rear engined car, just enough to evacuate the air from the wheel well) and I can't say I like the wheels too much. For me the ideal wheel for the M2 CSL would be made of carbon fiber to minimise unsprung weight. The CSL should prioritise function first and aesthetics after...

I've known this render for a while... What I'm trying to do is to make a "realistic" version of the CSL using the most factory and existing parts as possible...

Realistically, with roof, bonnet, boot made of carbon fiber, removing the rear seat, minimising equipment & sound deadening etc, a weight around 1400kg is feasible.

I was thinking about a competitor to the 911 GT3 with this CSL...
