Agree, would love to see this as an option along with different more track focused seats.

Similar to what is offered in a P car. Seems like this is just another marketing tactic. Offering parts they already have on the shelf and calling it a CS.

O well.

I don't plan on tracking it and although the M2CS will be more practical, I just don't know...

The real question is what are people's thoughts on getting the alcantra wheel? I know alcantra gets dirty and looks terrible when used, but does make it more special, no? 😉
M2CS is going to max out over $80k for sure. Especially with the carbon ceramics.

Dual zone climate control and regular door handles? :

Hopefully, they gave up on the whole CS "lightweight" facade and also kept the comfort access option..

No pricing yet.

2,200 units
Production: 03/2020 - 12/2020
How exclusive is 2,200 units just for NA ?

And I have a feeling this is going to sound A LOT better since emission rules in U.S ?

718 GT4 just announced, $99,200 msrp(+$1,250 delivery). That should help bolster the 981 GT4 market.

With GT4 pricing announced, I'll divulge the CS info I have.

I had a CS allocation. Not a "we'll see what we can do" allocation, a contractual option I negotiated when buying my M2C with BMW NZ directly.

On May 29th this option was presented to me. I was asked to provide a sizeable non refundable deposit and sign a VOSA (vehicle offer and sale agreement).

The details of the car I was given are all contained in this thread.

The price I was told equates to what I paid for my M2C + 60% premium.

The 2200 number is global. I was told 500 RHD with around 5 - 10 at most coming to Australasia.

I asked, and was told that they aren't being individually numbered.

I asked, and was told that individual paint was not an option

I was told to expect it to arrive June 2020.

I was given until June 4th to exercise the option and provide the deposit. I decided not to.

In my opinion, at least in this part of the world, I would imagine these will all be sold prior to be offered to market. Your market may differ.

Not NA...worldwide. M3CS was 1,200 units(550 units for US) and M4CS 3,000 units worldwide.

This really tells us nothing about the the actual MSRP of the car. It just tells you what you're going to pay to get one from that dealership. Seems like this dealer is adding a sizable markup. I don't even think the dealerships know what MSRP for the M2CS. I believe you are very wise to get the GT4 if you can get a build slot. I was really hoping this wasn't going to be that limited. Build for who's buying until capacity is reached for a 1yr run.

How much weight savings with the M2cs vs M2c?

Gonna be keeping my m2c which I got $3k of via ED.
This is how I'm feeling as well. Unless there is considerable weight savings beyond the CF roof, a $15k+ premium is laughable for what it seems one would be getting. The seats look porky and still no harness pass-throughs. Don't see the point. I think a $10k price increase over the M2C would be more reasonable. Honestly, the only thing appealing is the CF roof. The hood bulge is "all show and no go," so I'd prefer a standard hood anyhow. Single-zone climate, lightweight door cards, etc. should all be included as well to make the CS more special if they are going to charge $15-20k more. Just my honest opinion.

A 60% markup over M2C would put M2 CS at $101,680 with DCT and non-white paint!

The CFRP roof really isn't that big a deal on the M2CS because u can get a M2 or a M2C with a steel slick-top.

On the F80M3 and F82M4 it was either CFRP roof or sunroof and that IS a big difference.

Sure the CFRP roof is cool but a steel body colored slick top is not too shabby either. Probably less maintenance in the long term.

CS badge has about a 35% premium over M3C/M4C. M2CS msrp could be right under $80k...$79,xxx(plus options). Most likely over $90k if you option carbon ceramics.

Damn well hope you've got a 6MT on order by now That'll make the price in NZD about $180k?

NZ is a bit different. The Managing Director (Karol) is on a first name basis with me and we have about 5 dealerships in the country. I'm not a special customer, I've just met him a few times and have a passion for the brand. I could walk into head office tomorrow and poke around with cars for an hour and nobody would care. This is just how small the country is!

It is probably more like having 5 dealerships in all of Kentucky and having one regional office for all of Kentucky.

Love the specs; naturally-aspirated, mid-engine, 414hp and manual only.

The M2 CS is in a different league from the GT4 though; the "limited production" status, manual option, adaptive suspension, not to mention its last-M2-build-in-Germany will guarantee a legendary status in automotive history.

Can someone explain the benefits of adaptive suspension? Looks like an adaptive suspension button on the center console.
