It's been roughly a year since I got the car, and i've gathered a lot of inspiration for my build through threads just like these. I was shopping for a sporty manual transmission coupe (preferably a BMW as I was driving an e90 at the time) I fell in love with the F87 chassis when I first laid eyes on it and knew I had to find one. Low and behold, a couple months later I would fly out to purchase & drive home my Mineral Grey 2018 BMW M2 LCI.

So far I have 4 track days under my belt, and currently am in the intermediate group at the track i've been frequenting. I love the car and how it feels right now on the track. My times have been improving, but overall I am beyond excited anytime I get seat team in the car.

It was basically stock when I bought it, minus the spoiler, although I couldn't leave it that way for too long.

Current Mod List:
MHD Stage 2+ OTS tune
Apple Car play
Dinan CF Air Intake
CSF FMIC
Wagner Catted DP
RK-Tunes CP
MST Inlet v2
TurboSmart DV Plumbback
Valvetronics Exhaust
Ohlins R&T Coilovers
Vorschlag Camber Plates (-2.3)
Hotchkis Front & rear Sway bar (only front is installed)
Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 255/275
PFC 08 Track brake pads
IND Tow Strap Red
NGK Spark plugs
CS type rear spoiler (came with the car, not sure if OEM)
M perf CF rear diffuser
Horizontal Rear Reflector Delete
CF Mirrors
Smoked Sequential Blinkers
CF Shark fin antenna cover
CF Eyelids
Goldenwrench Blackline Taillight Overlay
BMW ///M Door Light
Satin Black Powder Coated 437m
BMW ///M Valve stem caps
MotorSport Hardware Stud Conversion Kit
Future Classic 10mm Spacers on the Front
Turner Motorsport 5mm Spacers On the Back

I may have left out a mod or two, ill try to keep this post updated.

Like others I'm creating this thread to share & document my journey on the f87 platform.

Absolutely love them. I was on the fence between ohlins and BC coilovers (big price difference I know) and actually came across a great deal for the ohlins.

On track I run them at 5 clicks, and 15 clicks for regular street use.

I love me a stiff suspension, but the option to go softer is actually very convenient.

The ride is more smooth, the car handles the track amazingly even w my moderately aggressive camber setup. The squishy sound of the OEM shocks are completely gone.

I liked the way it handled before, but LOVE how the car handles now. Turns right in, and a good balance of throttle can create predictable oversteer and tail end action.

How's the added power on the track? Any handling issues?

Not sure if you can add M2C brace with the dinan air box.

I've got news that a new fm intake is being developed that I'm looking into however. It should be compatible with that.

Keeps me a tad bit more competitive in my group in the straights.

Need more seat time to really give a better insight into how the car is set up for the track.

Noting that intakes and airboxes on these appear to add SFA apart from noise, look for one where you can change the filter without removing the brace. The mechanic who serviced mine was apparently a little irritated at having to remove same to change the filter.

not sure why he would be irritated. The brace, at most, would maybe turn a 5 minute job into a 10 minute job. And even that's a leisurely pace.

Well, 6 bolts after removing the two plastic guards. It think it was just that without it, he could have just unclipped the top of the air cleaner housing and replaced the filter. Being an N55 car, he wan't expecting.

You can't run it with the Dinan. I learned that the hard way.
