Need to ship a car from Bellevue WA to Boston MA and to be honest, have not really found any company that has stellar reviews.

Shipping a M2 Comp. I just purchased

So far top companies are:

Amerifreight

Montway

Tempus Logix

Can anyone recommend a company that they've used personally with good results? Pls and thx!

Ply Car and InterCity based on personal experience are excellent. I've felt the drivers really cared, watched how they loaded cars, down to covering in plastic while inside a covered trailer. I've used others but keep in mind many companies do not own their actual trucks/trailers so they are logging into the same logistics systems and picking drivers based off route, timing and price. I believe PlyCar and InterCity actually own their equipment so they have more quality control.

I used Total Car Transportation a couple of years ago. Talk to Elwood. They took very good car of the car and great communication along the way.

I've used Passport. They are not a broker, using only their own trucks & drivers. The car arrived wonderfully intact. HOWEVER, they can be a real PITA to deal with, as they don't seem to have a good idea on how to schedule their trucks and dare I say, the last two times I tried to use them, I suspect that they lied to me a little bit.

I've done a few moves through brokers, open carrier, and those were just as good as enclosed as far as I'm concerned, for about half the price. Brokers, however, can also be a real PITA as they lie, lie, lie, and you never know what kind of truck/driver/transport you will end up with.

Congrats on the new car!

Don't waste your time with Amerifreight.

I just shipped from VA to WA using Montway as the broker. It was fast and easy. Prior to dealing with Montway, I got a quote from Amerifreight that was too good to be true and spent about 2 weeks with them trying to raise their price significantly and/or trying to find a carrier that would ship below cost. I was told by Amerifreight that the quote I received was way bellow market because sometimes (but rarely) a carrier will move something below cost to avoid having empty space on a truck.

When Amerifreights final offer came through it was higher than the quote that I received from Montway.

Keep in mind that neither Montway or Amerifreight are the actual carriers, just brokers that will find you a reputable carrier to do the delivery.

Another vote for intercity. Just shipped my M2 from San Francisco to Boston with them. The driver was a car enthusiast, with meticulous attention to detail. He provided photo updates and arrived on time. The car was in exactly the condition as when I handed it off. Rate was $2000, if that's helpful to know.

I would stay far far way from Montway or any other broker for that matter. They will subcontract the transport to the lowest bidder.

Personally I have used DC Transport LLC. They are based in Sumner WA and transported my M2 Comp 2600 miles from Mississippi to Oregon. Car arrived without any damage.

Ply car seems to be the best but most expensive. I may just drive it home at this point I don't wanna be a cliche horror story haha

I used UnitedRoutes to ship my M2 Comp from Miami back to the Bay Area in an enclosed trailer. The car arrived the day after I arrived back in the Bay. Fantastic service all round.

Another vote for InterCity. Just had my M2 shipped from Chicago to Boston and the process was smooth as butter. Car arrived in great shape, and the driver called and texted me throughout the ride. Truck was in great shape as well, and as others have noted, they own their trucks. Can't ask for more!
