Tapping illumination lights for P3 gauge's dimmer

Hello.

I have a M2 Competition. Posting here as it seems it's a UK / RHD problem.

I've installed a P3 gauge in my vent and went looking for somewhere that gets voltage when the headlights are on (so I can have it automatically dimmed at night). I tapped into the controls for the headlights, but realised pretty soon these are always illuminated in the car (makes sense).

Videos in the US say to tap into the boot release button above the bonnet release, but my M2C doesn't have the button (just a blank in its place).

Where have people picked up a cable to use for auto dimming for their P3 gauge?

Cheers

Tricky one, M2s dont have much in the way of interior lights than come on with the main lights.

You could do with the wiring diagrams on ISTA to help find something. I've got ISTA i'll try and find something for you.
