Excellent. I am thinking a group trip to the Dragon is in order.

I'm thinking about moving from Los Angeles to North Carolina, my company does most of its sales out there. Anyone have opinions on where in NC they think is best? Anyone think Virginia or another nearby state is better? Sorry to change the topic a bit, but would love the input from some fellow drivers!

Raleigh has the most going on, Charlotte feels a bit generic to me but has some interesting little neighborhoods that have some culture. Asheville is a great town, corky/hipster with great food/breweries, but it would get small quickly and not close bigger business in NC. Most flights coming and going will have a layover. I would choose NC over VA personally though Nashville is a cool city's if you are into country musics and otherwise |

Hi everybody, new to this forum and wanted to say hi! I'm moving to the Triangle area of North Carolina in April and I'm really excited to explore the state with my M2.
I'm a current BMWCCA member and will join the Tarheel chapter once I move. I'm looking forward to making new friends in the community and participating in drives and other fun events as often as I can! I have a few questions for you guys: 1.) What are some BMW specialist shops in the area that you guys trust to work on your cars? 2.) Any avid autocrossers on here? I've been autocrossing for around 8 years now and would love to jump right into any events happening in/around the Triangle area. So far it seems like Tarheel BMWCCA doesn't have any autocross events scheduled (please correct me if I'm wrong). Tarheel Sports Car Club, however, seems to have a really good autocross program and the events don't seem to be too far away. I would love to hear about other autocross events you guys like to attend! I cannot wait to move and maybe meet some fellow M2 owners! If anybody is interested, you can find me on Instagram as @infinite_f87 |

The last autocross that the Tarheel BMWCCA chapter put on I went to, and it was in 1995 when the Jensens used to run them for the most part. There may have been one since then, but I don't recall it...not in the past 20 years anyway.
Tarheel Sports Car club is the source for autox. Fantastic club and people, and it's been around for ages. I've moved to SC a few years ago now, but I had autocrossed with THSCC as far back as the 1970s. There is also the Triad Sports Car club nearby in the Greensboro area. Additionally, the SCCA region holds autocross events at the Cherry Point Marine Airbase which is a couple of hours away.

Hi from Raleigh, picked up a '21 HS in January. Starting to tweak it a little. It'll just be a fair weather/occasional VIR toy.
I've had a few M/M-sports in the past, but had lost interest due to the bloat. Really happy to have this little guy. |

Picked up this 2018 Manual in Mineral Grey last year. Went into the dealer to trade my E70 for a X3 m40. Then seen this and couldn't resist. Sold the E70 private and using those funds to have fun..Went stage 2 MHD shortly after purchase and now have a pure750 and dorche stage 2 pump awaiting install. Located near Durham/CH. Attend Cars n Coffee Morrisville and the occasional meetup in BC. Planning to hit up VIR, Tale of Dragon, Carolina Motorsports Park, and others too(suggestions?)...Bought the car with intentions to do some track days and enjoy the commute.
If you're local let me know....Also big into golf; checkout my subreddit. R/RDUgolf Last edited by VGSON; 03-09-2023 at 09:11 PM.. Reason: pics |

Not to derail this thread, but me and my wife are thinking about moving from Austin to North Carolina.
Charlotte or Raleigh would be the likely landing spot. How do you guys like living in NC? |
