My mechanic is installing the suspension on a 2018 M2 and also had an issue with the right height, however they were not installing the springs upside down. The other issue apparently is that where the spring ride height adjuster sits in the upper perch, there is an OEM cup that must be removed in order for the aftermarket shock to fit in. Just wanted to let people know in case they have a similar issue.
I was just installing some JRZ's and this was the problem.. dropped it down to max lower and it was just a bit lower then factory. I looked and tho those black upper spring perches (cups) look to accept the aftermarket spring perch, they do not do so correctly. Those cups almost seem like they are glued in, but they pop right out. After removing I could drop to 575mm rear.. way lower then I will and that would be SLAMMED at 25mm(1 inch) lower then the rear suggested lowered height of 600 mm. Mind you this is on brand new un settled springs.
I help a friend do his Dinan HAS kit and I'm almost positive we messed this up as he is a bit lower... but maxed out. I'll try to confirm that but I bet this is much more common then people know.

Hope this helps someone
