The only thing remotely goofy on the 1M is the headlights and in person they don't look bad. Pics do not flatter the 1M at all. And in my opinion, the 1M fender flares are the best BMW has ever done and I don't think they will ever come close again.

But, the fact of how much better the 1M looks in person over pics makes me very excited to see the M2 in the metal. The first time I will see it will be when I pick it up. I doubt I will be disappointed.

I wouldn't say boring. They are the best fenders that BMW currently offers. The M3 had potential but was ruined with how the doors cut off the fenders.
