Does your manual transmission hold revs during shifts?
I've had my M2C manual for about 5K miles now. Noticed the other day on a slow upshift that the car actually held the revs at approx 2K for a moment before letting it drop. Never noticed it before...maybe it's normal. None of my prior manual cars ever did this...off the gas, push the clutch and it drops to idle speed.
Also...does anybody feel like their collision warning system triggers too conservatively? Was driving up a driveway behind another car once and jammed on the brakes. Interesting. |

Yes, a lot of modern manual cars hold their revs during shifts...I actually find it annoying.
You can change the sensitivity of your pre-collision system in I-drive.

Yes. Normal. I like it.
Also agree that front collision is a bit conservative. I switched mine to activate "late". I suggest doing that if you haven't already. |

I've noticed it'll hang for a bit before dropping to idle speed when shifting to neutral. This happens when you shift from any other driving gear, I'm assuming this is normal.
I haven't noticed this in between up-shifts but can't say I'd be surprised with my experience as aforementioned. |

Agree.....normal. I like these features when I'm in traffic and want a low maintenance experience.......but.....I don't usually drive the M2 when I'm looking for a low maintenance experience.

i believe it is also mode dependent...more noticeable in comfort than in sport and basically off in sport plus. Porsche is the same way. In addition to smoothing shifts, it is also said to improve fuel economy.

Really? Where have I been. I had a 2010 G37 manual and never noticed that. Happy to know it's not a problem that needs fixing. |

The Rev hang is also a function of the throttle blip assist thing. It works for both downshifts and upshifts.
Turn off dsc and you'll see the Rev hang behavior is different |
