PPF and Ceramic in DC Area

Hi all, finally have my new SO M2C in hand after three months of patient waiting! Can't wait to get out and start putting the first 1200 miles on it.

Looking for thoughts on PPF (and ceramic coating) in Northern Virginia. Most convenient to me is Capitol Shine inArlington. Does anyone have experience with them? If not, anyone else you'd recommend in NoVa, particularly for the trickier PPF part? I'm looking for front bumper up to the edge of the hood only.

Many, many thanks. Look forward to seeing you around the Beltway!

Excellent work & results. They’ve put PPF and ceramic on a few of my cars. Plus, they're sponsors of BMW NCC.

Just tell them Zack with the blue M2 sent you and they’ll take care of you!

I've had a good experience with Speed & Tech http://www.speedandtech.com/ with my M2, which had full PPF and window tint. RJ, the owner is extremely customer-focused and takes care of his customers, and he owns an M2C as well. I had a few minor issues and he really made the whole experience painless and I am taking another car for a full PPF.

Another recommendation for RJ at Speed & Tech. I had an excellent experience with them for a PPF install and window tinting earlier this year. Everything was completed on time and looks great. I took delivery of my car on a weeknight and wanted to get the PPF installed right away. RJ was happy to meet me at his shop after 9pm (well after their normal closing time).

How much did full PPF cost here? I got a quote for around $6500 from another shop

SW, you might want to give RJ a call at S&T. For the front bumper only (up to the edge of the hood) and headlights, quote was $680.

That seems about the standard rate in the DC area. I talked to a couple of other places and they gave quotes between $6K and $6.5K for full car. Speed & Tech was in that range and I went went them based on recommendations from a couple of friends who had PPF done by them in the past.

I ended up not doing full PPF and went with their full front package instead (front bumper, hood, front fenders, side mirrors, A-pillars, door edges) and added on the rocker panels. I am planning to go back later on to do the rest of the car.

Thanks for the info! I'm still on the fence since I kind of want to get a color wrap
