Finally got an allocation
Got an email today from the GM of my dealer stating they got allocation for my order, my car will be among the first 2017 model year cars. After going back and forth for months I decided to go ahead and change from BSM to LBB, other than that I am going with DCT, Exec package and hopefully apple car play will be available at the time of my build. Paying MSRP. They say I should get my production number soon so I am going to be one of those maniacs who constantly track the progress of the car. Happy to finally have allocation.

If you have an allocation you should have a production number? I just received a September allocation and the production number is on that sheet and status says 111.

Just saw a LBB yesterday in person for the first time. You won't regret your choice. It looks so amazing in person. Much more than the pics. BSM looks great too but LBB just pops.

He should already have your production number if he has an allocation. That is the whole point - the allocation only exists once the number is issued.

The excerpt from the message to the dealers said they are giving allocation for July, August and September production dates. The GM tells me they are getting one of those cars which is mine. He says they get informed of the allocation, they enter the spec of the car and then a production number is assigned.

You can change your specs anytime up to 2 weeks or so before production. They have no bearing whatsoever on the allocation; the production number is simply your allocation number - if you have an allocation, you have a number, independent of specs, options, etc. Now it may just be your SA would rather have everything confirmed with your specs before he/she gives you the number, but that's a decision entirely up to them. |

Got my production number today, it is status 111. They allowed the GM to add Apple Car Play as an option so I suspect it will be an August or later build.

Does yours have a confirmed production date yet? When I put mine into the automated system it said "No confirmed production date" but my dealer had it in his system as Week 31.
