I posted some logic about this here:

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...postcount=2113

Coupled with the reduction in maintenance, it's probably not going to increase much in the US if at all. I could see them not increase this year because of the small difference and maintenance reduction but increase by $500-750 for MY18.

Info for our American friends south of the border should be coming on or before June 10th - that will include allocations as well as changes for MY17.

Like Benzima said, I would definitely take the car now without the upgraded Idrive and pay $2300 (tx inc) less
Yes, me too !

But it won't be the case as my car will be product in July... So I'll have to pay $2,300 (tx inc) for the upgraded Idrive and it will be the only upgrade as I didn't took the Smartphones connectivity, so no Apple Carplay in my case.

You are very lucky to receive your car this year!

I agree Benzima, but I'll believe it when I'll see it in my driveway. So far my order is still status 111 with Conf. Prod. Week 30/07/2016.

My SA called me and ask me if I want to add the MPE at $3,500. I told him that without that $2,000 price raise on the car I would have probably bought the MPE but with a $2,000 price raise on the car I'll pass my turn on the MPE...

Take the MPE! You will not regret it (considering that if it was a MY16 it would have been 4900$ + installation).

FYI I've been told if you have a MY16 and just wait to install later that the cost will be the MY17 cost.

YMMV based on dealership.

I agree that the MPE would be great, but with a $2,000 price raise on the car itself and a $3,500 MPE that would mean that I would have to pay $6,325 (taxes incl) more than expected for the car. I would really like to have the MPE on my M2 but my status is "retired", unfortunatly not "rich". The both starts with a "R" but they're clearly not the same...

That would be the best deal if your dealer agrees to it.

You get the MPE at the cost of the MY17 MPE installed at no charge and you get to keep your OEM exhaust.

I really doubt it will be the case, but I would definitely have that written by your dealership!

I'm not getting it so doesn't matter, but figured I'd ask my dealer just in case for other forum members.

Yes I believe so, as it's likely a factory/port install.

Parnan, since you and i have the same build week.... my SA said just the other day that he is still not 100% that it will be a MY17. Personally i believe it will be MY17 because that is the switch over week, if im not mistaken. Maybe he believes there is a chance of production being moved up or MY17 beginning a little later.....? So you may still catch a break...

I saw my order in the BMW system and it is a MY17. But a MY16 would be great and $2,000 less.

Check with your SA. Lot of movements in car allocations. Just got an allocation for August build! Got bumped up from end of September to end of August!

Yep, got my VIN today.

Another forum member is helping out tracking VIN info (PM me for details) and my car is the only M2 being built today!
