Oh, it's a great color. Very unique. Haven't really seen another color quite like it.

I thought it was awesome, but it's very flashy. It's a color that is different than everything else on the road, and it definitely stands out.

I'm more reserved, so I went with MG. But you'll love LBB if you want a flashy unique color.

It has nothing to do with the press reviews. The info from BMW is that M2 deliveries will start April 16.

April 16 was mentioned as launch date, apparently, at the SEMA event. About 1/3 of the way down in this post.

Well if that turns out to be true, that really sucks that they're going to hold it even though it's done. What a terrible feeling.

I don't know if they accounted dealers selling demo cars as part of the launch.

There are already dealer demos in Europe dealerships.

I'm thinking if that date is corrects it's for official customer ordered cars. there's still hope!

I agree, because your M2 will probably be delivered to your dealer by the middle of March.Congrats on getting a launch car.I'm still waiting for my production number. My dealer says they should get a production number from BMW Canada next week.

FWIW
I forget which few early cars (M3/M4 launch?) found themselves in the same "launch hold" status. In any case, BMW held them at the Port of Entry for a while. The owners of those early builds, having followed their cars through the process, knew their cars were at the Port of Entry. As you might expect, they were very annoyed. And they let everyone who would listen know about it. They got lots of sympathy. Although, there was the occasional "suck it up."

I don't think dealers are allowed to sell the first car (and you take it home) until after the official retail launch. Same thing when the M4 came out... there was a sold M4 that sat at my dealer for several weeks and the owner couldn't take it home.

Retail launch is April 16th (as noted) in Canada... I assume it's the same in the US.

Press and a few tuners are supposed to receive a car mid Feb. That's what I've been told from a few different tuning companies in the US.

No dealer will be allowed to release an M2 to a customer prior to April 16, 2016. You may look at it and sit in it, maybe briefly spin the engine, but won't be allowed to take it home.

I guess that a BMW dealer risks issues with BMW if he rains on the BMW M2 parade with an (too) early release. I remember a forum fellow claiming - on the basis of what his dealer told him - to take the dealer demo home at the end of the launch weekend (thus on Sunday April 17 or Monday April 18). I don't know the instructions given by BMW regarding M2 dealer demos, but I can imagine that the car, in order to serve its demonstration purpose, is embargoed for several days or weeks since the launch date.

The April 16 launch date (at least for Europe) was already reported here several times in the past (illustrated with official BMW materials).

This is exactly what I`ve agreed upon with the dealer. I`m getting a HEA car, the car will be on display for demonstration purposes for 1-2 weeks, so I will bring the car home end of April.

Do I even need to answer that kind of question? Like Canada is in a totally different star system or something?
