M2C Exhaust analysis paralysis

I think I’ve overdosed on threads and videos on exhaust for my M2C.

I think I want a mid pipe and slip on, so have been stuck between AA Signature and AA Mid with Remus rear.

I’ve seen that general opinion is in favor of the Remus rear with AA mid, but is it worth $500+ more than AA Signature? I don’t plan on changing primary cats soon. Might go to high flow cats in the future.

Thoughts from those with experience?

Not to throw you into more analysis and paralysis, but AA appears to have an equal-length system coming out soon.

I will be looking into this as I'm running just the midpipe now and looking for a tad more sound, although downpipes might fix that as well.

Good point. Wonder when that will be announced.

Do you know if the AA midpipe will mate to the M2C MPE without issue? I called AA and they said that it should no problem, but I cant find anyone out there that has done it to confirm.

I am curious to know that as well.

I did poke around at some point but didn't find any definitive lists of axlebacks compatible with the AA midpipe. And if so, do they need to cut to fit like the stock muffler?

MPE needs to be cut for a fact. Not sure of others.

Remus tips look better than AA imo. The 102mm CF tips are one of the best looking options.

Just as an update, the Milltek equal length setup is below. I'm either going to scoop a used UEL setups on the classifieds, or, and this is my #1 option, the AFE exhaust. It's light, cheap, sounds good, and it's exactly what I'm looking for.

I have the AA mid and Remus Sport Rear. It's a great sound and it looks sharp.

May I ask how you know for a fact? Have you done it, or know someone who has?

Definitely like the AFE Price. What do you think about the valve setup? Looks like one valve on one side only making closed valve operation in Efficient on the right side only. What about the stock 2nd valve? Couldn’t see it in the photos.

Yeah it's only a single valve, doesn't bother me at all. The 2nd valve will still be plugged in, but it'll have to get zip-tied up underneath somewhere. The main complaint from most people, as to why they don't buy it, is the single 3" pipe, whereas the AA mid is a 3.5" oval. I'm not going for horsepower records or anything so the extra 0.5" doesn't make a difference.

The single valve and single mid mean less tubing, so I would expect a pretty significant weight loss from going from stock to AFE. There aren't many vids, but from the few I've found, it sounds fantastic.

This is probably my favorite looking exhaust, and it sounds awesome! If someone can find a good price on a used setup, this would be the move.

I am looking for an exhaust that does not have the high pitched sound. It seems when the mid pipe and/or down pipes are replaced all I hear on these videos is a high pitched reverberation that IMO sounds like *ss. I want a throaty low bass sound. Maybe I am too used to American V8s.

Stock exhaust is all one piece from midpipe to rear. How else would you intend to install your MPE rear without cutting lol?

WTF are you talking about? MPE is already installed with stock mid-pipe.

Have you been under your own car to look at how it's connected? Someone had to cut your stock exhaust and attach your MPE to your stock mid pipe.

I know that. Was curious if MORE cutting was needed to fit the AA pipe with the already installed MPE, as nobody has seemed to have done it on here already, or at least has not chimed in.

I already figured it out, so you can go “lol” on another reply.
