BMW M2 heater fan wont turn off ??

Hello. I am a new owner of a BMW F87 M2 which I absolutely love.

I have found that I cannot switch off the heater fan completley. the heater works, fan speed works, temperature works but it just wont switch off.

I find this very strange and was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue

Did you try lowering the fan speed all the way down?
That’s how it normally turns off.

Hold the fan speed down button for about 2 or 3 seconds.

Another thing that I figured out is that you can tailor the fan in auto mode to not always go to full blast. While in auto mode just turn down the fan a notch or two. I'm my car it will default to the lower speed.

Wait. How do I get the fan to be auto...? When I push Auto, it auto's the temp, but the fan is only as fast as what it's set at on the rocker. I prefer the full blast method as it quickly gets the cabin to the set temp, then it slows it down.

It will still change speeds but for instance I set it to one notch lower while in auto so that I can hear music, phone etc. It will throttle back by itself as usual. It just limits the fastest speed.
