Nope, my SA told me to negotiate with the general sales manager by myself and after sending complaint to OMVIC and cc the manager, they finally agreed to give me a free loaner. But I still have to pay the rental up to today by myself.

As a customer, I don't think I should spend so much time and effort on this issue. They could have done it much better.

You are absolutely right. Acting before something happens to bring some comfort to customer is important. Ppl will come back and look to purchase another vehicle from same SA (or dealer) depending on their experience. I was in your shoes, I sold my F80 privately before receiving my F87. However, my buyer was kind enough to let me drive 2-3 weeks more than the expected selling date that I gave him so I did not waste my money on anything although I have my family car that my wife drives.
Dealers would just care less on anything that they would have to spend their own $$$ and/or time. But good dealers will give you suggestion at least before customer blows out with big complaints.

You are right. My private buyer also let me drive my car for 2 more weeks. He is super nice and gave me lots of suggestions about how to deal with SA here.

The dealership will not give up even one cent until you are ready to leave the table.

Sorry to hear that. But look, you have waited for months, just give it few more days surely it will worth all wait.

I know you are missing it for this long weekend. But regardless, your dealer needs time to prep before deliver it to you.

Looks like my baby arrived in TO yesterday early afternoon. I just checked Hansen's but nothing yet. To just go from TO to somewhere like Waterloo an hour away, do they still use Hansen's?

I checked my VIN on Hansen. They trucked my car from Halifax to Ottawa. And it is on the way NOW !

Currently there is no further VIN for me to track. Everyone seems to receive their vehicles at least some point next week.

Question for you folk...

Car showed up on Hansen's this morning with a consignment AND pickup date of today. Due date is the 6th.

I understand that they are usually quicker than the due date and my dealer is literally an hour away from Concord (Kitchener). If it's picked up today and dealership isn't open due to holiday Monday, what do you think happens next? Does it stay on the truck overnight and get delivered tomorrow or is there some weird routine thing that would take it to like Barrie first and do a milk run to get over here?

Do you think it would be in Kitchener tomorrow for sure or possibly Wednesday?

Hansen's does not operate on weekends and holidays. Earliest PU date will be Tuesday. If they PU delivery happens right after the PU meaning that it will be delivered to your dealership on Tuesday.

you could always call hansens and request the vehicle to be rushed, an see if they can put it on an earlier truck.

mine has been sitting in concord since 27th and its due today at the dealer, the car was marked rush as well....

so its a hit or miss with them.

Mine is at 'Creditstone Storage Facility', it's been showing that since last week. Right now it's showing an ETA of the 5th but I need it to be delivered latest tomorrow so I called Hansen's up they said they can't do anything as the driver has already been dispatched. They also said to call BMW and find out what the status is which is weird.

I expect them to be very busy due to the last long weekend.
Hansen's does not operate over weekend and holiday but CN moves everything 24/7. There should be a bottleneck this time but soon it will be resolved. Hoping that yours will be delivered soonest.

So today was my collection day. I and my wife with my daughter went to the dealership and traded our MY16 X4 to MY18 X3 M40i.




Car will be going through break-in so I cannot really give you the full impression but it sounds pretty darn nice. (Not to be compared to my M2 but as a SUV, she has growl and deep note which I love and my wife said to loud haha).

Car will be prepared with PPF at my local shop and will be fully available in 3 days
