Comfort access only unlocking drivers door.

Today my wife noticed that when returning to the car and unlocking it using the comfort access facility the passenger door did not unlock. Previously both doors were unlocking. I haven't altered any menu settings.
My wife has also commented that to open the passenger door from inside now requires two pulls of the handle where previously she recalls it only requiring one.
Any suggestions?

Was she using the same key as you? If she uses a different key that may not be programmed to your same settings. That's the only thing I can think of that might have caused the change?

No, same key as usual.

Head to the iDrive menu settings and 'doors' (thats the english translation of Türen, that is the category in German). There you should find the point 'only open driver door' or 'all doors'. It is kind of a safety feature that there will be only the driver door open when unlocking in a parking garage at night etc.

That's sorted it!

Thanks.

Still can't work out why it changed in the first place though...

Maybe you have used the second key for the first time and it had saved that setting? That could be a possiblity. Other than that, maybe a software update at BMW or something like that?

All BMWs (at least mine) require two pulls to open the door, one to unlock, one to open.

Your doing it wrong then. Just hold the handle where the hash marks are and open the door. One pull.

Are you talking about the external comfort access or internal door pull? I'm talking about the latter.

Just been thinking, the previous time the vehicle was used it was taken to a PPF installer and I used the spare key. Perhaps that explains it.
