Ohlins TTX are usually around $10k, I have spoken to a few people in the know about Ohlins recently as I am putting a set of R&T on my car. I think these will be at least $7K+ but I could be wrong! There is a huge hole in the Ohlins lineup between R&T and TTX. If they did something similar to Clubsports (KW/Bilstein) at around $4K I would of bought them.

If you were dropping that much coin then MCS and comparable setups look attractive price wise. Would be interesting to see the price point. Appears they gone with a stiffer rear bias where most other setups run a stiffer front. Nice to see they have included the drop links as standard.

If they did a double adjustable R&T kit with integrated camber plates that would be the sweet spot IMO. I would love this kit of course, and as much as I love winning HPDE trophies it's hard to justify for 10-15 track days per year. |

Totally agree a Ohlins DA setup would be a nice option. I had R&T in my 350z and loved them. They were an awesome B Road setup however the thread on Bimmerpost about owners complaining about the slow speed knock turned me away and bought a set of MCS 2WNR instead.
But you never know Ohlins may be aggressive on the pricing to hit that justifiable price point or be like the Honda NSX and price themselves out of the market again. Here is the link to the TTX setup. Looks like the 10k for custom was with external canisters. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1129675 On a side note if I'm correct the TTX in the rear provided enough clearance to the sway bar so there is not contact while allowing the damper to be aligned square to the chassis. MCS, AST, Moton etc use an offset lower spacer on the control arm to gain the clearance which means the damper is not square to the chassis and introduces a slight ratio.

@MR RIZK ^^^ reason enough for me to go with these if it’s true . I hope they incorporate this in these new ones . Last edited by ROBM2C; 06-04-2020 at 08:16 PM.. |

I know this is an Ohlins thread but if you were inclined towards MCS or similar, bimmerworld apparently is coming out with something (I think a new sway bar as per another thread) that provides the necessary clearance. So if u were going to change the sway and "potentially" want a cheaper price point this is also an option. The TTX looks like a sweet setup.

Pardon my ignorance, thought the TTX has been out for the F8x chassis for some time. Is that different from this?

The difference is the ttx have an external reservoir .
These I presume will be one step lower. The advance track day have not been released yet . |

Ah sorry. I saw the TTX logo on the image and thought they were the TTXs, but I guess they have "TTX technology". Seems like the advance track day option would've been a great solution, albeit arguably a bit expensive. I do enjoy the R&T as it's a daily with some occasional track days, though.

E46, E9x, and F8x M kits will be released. This TTX 2 Way kit for the F8x M will be very similar to the factory M4 GTS setup. Price will be very competitive to many 2 way kits(assuming 2 way with reservoir) currently available. We are guess right around the $7k range. |
