This is exciting. A shame we cant get the US version live. I get so excited and then realize there aren't any options to play with. It does list the car as 1625kg unloaded.

There have been a topic these days with this BMW today video , regarding the BMW M2 CS , since Markus Flasch didnt ignore the question of the M2 CSL , and he instead told that they haven't decided yet . Who knows , maybe the engine of the M4 GTS engine and some more lightweight parts. It really might be happening since he could ignore the question on the M2 CSL by just saying that the M2 CS will be the top dog in this platform. Also , maybe the testings that were made in the ring before might be the CSL and the CS . who knows !

However, if I had deep pockets, I would want the crème de la crème that BMW offers, for their smallest, manual coupe. Every decision is relative to money, it's nothing bias or personal.. |

I doubt that BMW will make the M2 CS roof available as aftermarket part.
BMW will kindly recommend the M2 M Performance Parts CF roof (BMW part # 41 31 2460277 - "Car roof in carbon fiber | Lightweight carbon roof in carbon fiber. Package includes car roof in carbon fiber. In addition new windscreen and rear window are required and needs to be ordered separately. Roof is redesigned. Approx -5kg").

I really like the one MR. installed on his M2C. It's very much the same roof style that skin Imran is running on STARLA.

A few pics in various colours appearing now. My order is HS with black wheels and red brakes. I have to say that the blue with black wheels and red brakes looks amazing. Way better than I thought.
Not at all keen on the gold wheels with HS. It really looks like grandma is off to a Liberace concert. The black on black looks too black for me. Gold callipers on HS doesn't look bad at all. There's even a bit of gold in the paint in that photo. Nice. |

The blue show car in that post above doesn't have those bits so could be easy to remove if they're not a part of the wheel arches. If they are, easy to buy standard F87 parts anyway. Interesting that Australian-spec cars come 10mm higher from the factory though.

It still featured single zone airco (alike on the M3 CS and M4 CS) (while the M2 CS production version gets the 'regular' dual zone airco) and not yet the fender wheel arch extensions (explanation according to some: extensions are added as certain countries do not allow the wheel to protrude past the bodywork, so this is a shortcut/bypass manufacturers use). RealOEM: see part #15 ("Protective film, wheel arch") of this F90 M5 diagram (source: here): F90 M5:

I reckon it's them changing wheels for showroom shots. The car will always need a little time to settle after being jacked up. Even I need time to settle after being jacked up. 🤪 |
