New owner! (HS - 6MT)

Really excited to join you guys! I picked up my M2 a little over a week ago and am upgrading from a 135i that I got almost 7 years ago. It's so similar and yet so different in all the right ways!

I took advantage of the long weekend we had recently and was able to complete the break in period in a single week. Not that I was trying to rush it ... but wow it is just such a blast to drive. Those 1200 miles just flew by.

I'm happy to have gotten the hockenheim silver in manual. Attached is my favorite picture that I took on my trip last weekend. What a beautiful car!

Planning on tinting the windows soon and probably over the next few months I'll replace the exhaust. Thinking Dinan right now but not 100% sure!

M2 has been my 'attainable dream car' for the last 3-4 years so it feels good to finally have it.

Welcome! I also had a 135is prior.

The Dinan was originally my first choice for exhaust. One thing that changed my mind was that it connects after the OPF/Resonator which required cutting. Because of this, I went with the AA Midpipe + Remus combo. I like how the AA midpipe connects directly to the downpipes (no cutting).

I also liked how this video shows how the midpipe helps prevent any exhaust scavenging. It helps pull the exhaust gas out faster...

Congrats and nice car. Picked up ours 3 weeks ago. Black sapphire metallic. 900 miles so far. I'm anxious for the 1,200 mile service also.

I didn't realize Dinan required cutting. is the main reason to avoid that to protect resale value in the future?

Remus does not integrate with the efficient/sports/sports+ modes right? It has its own controls? How do you like that?

It does. You basically move the stock actuators. Remus comes with extended connectors and zip ties. It is a simple plug and play.

From my build thread pics...notice how the actuators from the stock has been moved to the Remus.

Here is a picture of it up close.

Seattle seems like quite the hotspot for new M2C's in the last month or so. I'm down in SW WA, and have only ever seen one in the wild and that was a week or two ago. Do you guys see many on the roads up there?

Congrats! I highly recommend the m performance exhaust. It doesn't sound tinny at all in person. It's pricey but it's definitely worth it and I got a great deal on it.

congrats - there are times I wish I would have held out and gotten a Hockenheim comp instead of Alpine LCI
