No sensors on the secondary cats; however, there are sensors on the OPF. In other words, secondary cat delete on a US spec car won't cause any CEL but you might still fail the visual inspection.

The clip is obviously short and it's impossible to tell how loud it is but it sounds really similar to stock in my opinion.

Within 30 days is what I was told last week but I have heard that before... There was a shortage of X's due to the tool breaking was the last/current issue. This particular exhaust release can't catch a break it seems.

Do you know the price point yet? I wouldn't mind being an early adopter and provide sound clips.

Hopefully the IMSA season gets back into full swing so we can all watch Carbahn follow up on its P4 finish at Daytona! Not sure if you guys have any involvement in the effort.

No "official" price point but it should be in the low-mid 2k range.

No involvement with the Carbahn Racing team other then as a casual enthusiast that roots for them with many old friends and acquaintances on the crew.

Promises, promises! Get this going! This car NEEDS exhaust! Akra is too tinny and raspy. Thre tone sounds great on the test pipes.

I am also not a fan of the raspy sound. I like some bass to it, like the N54 MPerformance exhaust.

It was hard to make the V8 sound bad, but the Dinan exhaust on my e92 was PERFECTION in my opinion.

Working on releasing as soon as possible. Looks like a limited initial release due to the aforementioned x-pipe issue however.

We were planning on doing a mid/resonator delete/X-pipe and a axleback separately but BMW's stock design would not allow it without some sacrifices we didn't feel we wanted to make. The biggest of which is there is no real good cut point for an axleback in the M2C. The obvious point is the one small straight section of pipe that is also outfitted with heat shields. Cutting there would mean that the stock system would be forever marred and incapable of being reinstalled at a later date (trade-in, etc). As a result we opted for a one piece solution with both elements included.
Just going back to this post and am curious/confused. Why is cutting the pipes further back for the axle back a problem but cutting the pipes near the OPF/Cats fine?

A cut point needs to be circle (or very close to it) and not on a bend with enough straight for a clamp to be affixed. On the M2C the only such location prior to the cats is at a location that also holds some OE heat shielding welded onto the pipe. If that were to be cut the stock exahust would no longer be able to be used and we didnt want to make that sacrifice if someone wanted to revert for lease trade in or what have you.

Does the Dinan exhaust bypass or negate the need to code off ASD? Don't like ASD and don't want it. If so, it's like a double bonus to get the exhaust.

No

If you want to get rid of the ASD you will need to code it off or use a bypass harness
