About 5 or 6 is default for agg.

I have time at zero for sport with 6 agg, just gives a quick pop on upshift.

Sport plus time 2.5 secs, agg 12, speed max, revs max, full on gun shots!

Car has OPF delete with standard back box. Decathlon coming soon so I might have to turn the pops down a bit

I am always on sport plus unless I am stuck in stop and go traffic, if I go 12 neighbors will hate me for sure. But will give it a try.

Haha, I use sport mainly thus burbles off.

I keep sport plus for sprited drives so have mega burbles then, downshift to 2nd gear on overrun at about 30 mph is brilliant!

So how does it sound in sport with time at 0, and agg at 6? No pop or burble?

I recently been testing out some burbles for stage 1 and I find it strange that sport and sport + sounds the same for aggression? I once had aggression at sport @1 and sport+@10 and yet sport poppin @10.

Also my default driving mode would be sport + given its in MDM mode which allows more burble. I assume the tune doesnt put sport in MDM mode. Therefore if i set a more aggressive burble it would be on sport instead of sport+ where as most ppl would be doing the other way around.

One thing to note is when aggression is at 10. The big pops come on effortlessly where as when I set to 8 it will have more burbles and if I want the big pop I just rev harder. It's good to have the ability to have both burbles and pops when u want it in a more controlled way. I'm gonna try to adjust to most aggressive without pops coming easily. I know its gonna be between 8-10 so Im gonna find thr threshold spot where it doesnt cross the line to more pops than burbles.

All these testings can be time consuming and also the duration is all part if the equation too. Any experienced bm3 burble users have some tips and insights they can share would be much appreciated.

From what I've experienced, let me just say it isn't straight forward. The aggression settings for Sport and Sport+ do not correlate perfectly to the car modes. If you adjust the BM3 aggression for Sport+, it ends up affecting Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Traction burble, but each with differing degrees. Adjusting the BM3 Sport aggression appears to have no affect. The time value is different though. BM3 Sport+ seems to affect Sport and Sport+ settings. The Sport BM3 time setting appears to affect the Comfort and Traction settings.

Of course, this odd behaviour could vary between versions of code and the car flashed. Best way to find out is trial and error. Unfortunately the '3D' nature of the tunes don't always translate as expected to the '2D' sliders in the BM3 app.

I will also note my experience is with an N55 M2.

Below is my setting which basically equates to: quiet rumble in comfort, loud grumble in MDM and pops and bangs in Sport/Sport +:

Wow that all makes sense actually especially with your set up shown. I can do a test also to put the Sport settings up and the Sport+ settings to 0 to really see if Sport does nothing.

One thing I did notice for the OTS burble is the burbles sounded too loose and low which is pretty much same sound as stock tune traction mode. I always thought the Sport+ on stock tune sounded the best and I was quite disappointed with the OTS burble. However adjusting the aggression does make up for it and more, but I'm gonna flash back to stock tune eventually to see if those burbles are similar because apparently OEM burble doesn't make it sound the same at Stock tune burble. I'm also wondering if it has to do with the exhaust flap opening up at certain angles to create different tones.

It's also good to have what OEM, OTS values are actually. That way we have a reference point to get a better feel of what you want to do. On the manual it shows these values as default settings meaning OTS stage 1? Orginal? What values do u have there exactly for ur current set up?

Just want to confirm NathObeaN that aggression setting for "SPORT" has no effect. I adjusted to max aggression @12 while testing out SPORT+ at 5 from 8. SPORT definitely didn't pop louder than 8 and sounded like the 5 I adjusted.

I also just now realized this thread is for the S55 so I'm gonna post on the N55 section.

*bomb in the room*

On my F80M3 I completely switched it off.

Never seen such a useless mod to an ///M car.
On my rally cars at least it served a purpose.....

The moment I can switch it off on my M2C I will do it immediately.
Same goed for that stupid startup roar.
GTFOH!

No flaming/Rambling intended.
Just my 2cts.

I've tweaked mine again since i had my equal length exhaust mod done.

Brought the time down to 0.2 seconds. And intensity at 8.

In sport and sport+

That just gives a nice pop on upshift (6mt) or overrun at higher rpm.

But it doesn't do it every time which i like, just does it sometimes and with varying effect.

Which mods do you have for the equal length? Please post a video of the sound clip.
