New Exhaust Tips
I installed these "carbon fiber" exhaust tips today from Monaco Motorsports. I have a stock exhaust with Dinan res delete and Fabspeed Sport Cat.
They stick out more than the stock tips do and they are in as far as they will go. I'd prefer they stuck out a little less maybe 1/2" or 3/4". I just can't decide whether it's too much or if it's okay. It's borderline in my opinion but may the M performance tips are supposed to stick out more. Appreciate anyone with tips thoughts on this. One of the things I dislike about the M2 is that all the exhaust tips stick out too far for me. The car looks like it has buck teeth from the side.
I also love the stock exhaust, but didn't like the stock finishers, as they were too bright and too small, so I picked up some Remus 98mm tips and had an exhaust shop cut them to fit properly, and tuck them under where the logo can't be read. The cost was $80. I may have them tuck the tips just a bit more even, and that's what I'd suggest you do, if you are keeping those tips. Good chance I'll have some 102mm angled Remus tips in the future, which is what I really wanted in the first place, and I'll have them tucked the same way, where you can't even read the logo. |

This is about as bad as it gets for me, even though I love the exhaust itself.

Using a dremel tool I cut carefully cut off some of the interior flange. This brought the tips in 1/2" to 5/8" which is within 1/4" of where the stock tips were located. I think this solves the problem.

You can find the tips from OP on Alibaba from a few suppliers that are shorter. I think 105mm long is what suits our exhaust best with regards for tip length.

Why didn’t you give Cyba tips a try? This is what I have at the moment, Cyba SS tips. No branding and completely tucked. Soon I will have the OEM MP tips installed though.
