Spotify

Anyone using the US Connected app and got Spotify to work properly?
I'm on Android and see it in my list of available devices but I can't access any of the menus or see them for that matter. I can get tunes to play but have to use my phone. I've called the local dealership "Genius" but am waiting to hear back.

I pair my phone normally and have Spotify in the media section. Won't say it's the BEST but I can search browse etc on idrive.

Am using the updated connected app but like I said I don't use Spotify from the connected menu

I have Spotify show up in both locations but it neither allow proper integration. The updated CDN version of the app should be out by years end....I'm told,

Mine works on Android, but the integration isn't great and the menu diving sucks.

Spotify's upgrade in mid-November broke BMW integration. I have reported it to Spotify but i have no faith in either BMW or Spotify to fix the problem.

If you roll back your Spotify app to the November 7 version (8.4.78.530) you'll be fine and BMW integration works properly.

I notice that Spotify had an upgrade today. If this doesn't improve it I'll roll back to Nov 7th as you suggest. Thanks!

Just tried it. No go ... still doesn't work. There are plenty of threads on the Spotify Community indicating this is a widespread problem.

Johnny. Downgraded as you suggested. Works so we I can't believe it. All menus are there - as opposed to none before!

Thanks for your insight on this one!!

One other question. I notice that the "gain" on Spotify is worst than FM Radio. I have to have both my phone (100%) and the car volume almost 80% to hear much. Any thoughts?

Thanks once again.

Noticed the same here. Was not like that with my other cars. At least to not that level.

I wonder if you can increase the Bluetooth audio gain with coding?
