Man, you are brave. I just thought how impossible it would be to drive the M2 on those roads.

This. Calling our replies just wonderful amusement and nothing more.

Makes you think about this whole thread doesn't it?

Who is entertaining who...or am I reading some Shakespeare drama: To complain or not to complain. That's the question.

Cheers

Yo Robin, please don't take those two words out of context please. This whole forum is wonderful amusement all the time, anywhere in any topic. It is lovely reading people questions, opinions and comments on things and the passion they share when it comes to their new car. I just shared my enthusiasm about the fueled discussion! I hope I can I love that car and I love the process of making it my own.

On another note, almost there when it comes to the run in service. @Krizzie reached 1800 KM today. Service over the coming days and then it is fully ready to go...

I prefer the set up of M2 and M4 more than the M2C! Quite boring now... No engaging shifts... Just get the software of the GTS or the CS in there and done.

It is a personal preference thing. Some people like to feel a sensation of shifting, some cars even have it artificially programmed in. Some people even prefer single clutch gearboxes like what’s in an aventador, even though they are slower.

Mr said the DCT now feels more seemless like a McLaren. What he is describing is no loss in power between shifts. If that is so, BMW is further perfecting the DCT shift and speed of shifts. Personally I very much welcome that advancement.

Actually, the trouble for the M2C is that the original M2 was already quite a cool package.

Junior definitely got his father's genes, boxing gloves and shoes. More muscles and body weight, but has he also daddy's hallmark punch ?

Wow, this thread taking a direction I did not expect. Trading my 17 in a week for a new one. Should I pass???

All the reviewers drinking the Koolaid? About the only automotive journalism I trust these days is Sportauto and they certainly seemed to approve of the improvements in the August issue. I'm a bit befuddled.

Are you buying a European model? Mr. gripes' stem from the Euro particulate filters which are absent from the US models. Even then, there is a thread where a Euro member removed his particulate filters, a check engine light did not even appear. Car woke up and sounds the way it should.

I think your bet will be against the odds if you back out now.

Journalists don’t always write flowery stuff even if they got invited to a press event that is all paid for. The Alfa 4C is one such example where reviews were bipolar.

The thing is you have all journalists praising s car both on and off the track and not one has a major thing against the M2C. The chances that people start suddenly finding that it is actually a dud after delivery is very very slim. Just try to name a car recently that had received praises in a press event but turned out to drive like sludge. I couldn’t...

Marc R, is it the epas software that is making the difference to the M2C front end dynamics do you think? Or is it the strut braces?

I'm a bit surprised on your impressions about DKG on M2C, most of people talked about a big improvement compared to the old M2
