OP - Like you, the LCI M2 I bought from it's original owner was exactly they way I would have ordered it. I love my car and plan on keeping it for years...I don't mind using it as a daily for now, but I'm going to take over my Daughters Kia Soul when she goes away to College in September and use it as my DD. I do agree with what AndrewC89 said, parking the M2 and worrying about it gets stressful at times...although not a hyper-car, this is a dream car for me and I don't need some careless asshole fucking it up. So, come September, it goes in the garage during the week and gets enjoyment miles only. Track days, long backroad trips, etc...

How do you like your Dinan tune? That's the only mod I'm thinking about making. Is the power increase worth the money? Has it been reliable? Has the Gas mileage changed? Just curious...thanks.

I do like the Dinan Stage 1 tune CC - there's no question it improved performance - up to 383hp and over 400 tq and never a problem with it.

I wanted a warranty too but at $1500, it is pricey.

Since I drive as much as I do, I have a company credit card so other than frequent fill-ups, gas mileage is not an issue for me so I never checked it before or after the tune.

That's a lot of mileage in a very short span of time. I was curious if you had any engine issue or reliability issue other than the usual tear and wear. I have a 2018 LCI AW DCT, just hit 10k. Do you change your oil every 5k mile or according to schedule set by bmw?

No engine problems at all - just a couple of quirky things but none drivetrain related.

I change the oil every ~3.5 to 4K miles. Uses zero oil.

Dude that's awesome! Crazy how Overall reliable n55 are. So did you get an extended warranty or a Geico mechanical warranty now that you're over 50k mileage?

I only have a 2.6 mile commute, 2 days a week, so the M2 is my daily. My toy is a Lotus Exige. So yeah, I'm a firm believer in the DD.
Pfff...toy for the weekends and then every daily drive; driving that other boring Lexus. Then in the weekend, (when I do less miles then on weekdays) I would take the M2. Seems a bit pointless in the whole M2 ownership experience for my taste. Yes; if you have Exige then that's exactly the weekend/fun car because it's far from the best DD => 100% correct!

In my eyes the M2 is one of the best DD you can buy (if you are into fun, not so big sporty cars). I drive mine all day everyday...as much as possible (3 years ownership from new => 80.000km on the clock). This way; In my opinion the purchase / tax / insurance has the most value for money; because I enjoy it as much as I can...meaning every day in my case. Why should my M2 stay pristine for the weekends? What's the point or the reason? I really don't get that state of mind. It's a car...and it's a modern BMW (not a vintage Ferrari 250GTO). These M cars are designed, build and intended for every day use...and they do it brilliantly

This pic is a perfect example of what it looks like every time I used to park the Exige somewhere (I live in a small town).
Wow your Exige looks Epic...my favo Exige Color also...for years I was looking for exactly the same Exige from 2006. Finally bought other cars instead (=> Z4M, M2, etc) and forgot about the Exige. Even till today I love these cars and everytime I see one, I'm going online to see how much they are and what's available on the EU market...exactly like I'm going to do now

No extended warranty - I do have Geico insurance but do not have that either.

Any reason why you do your oil change early instead of following the BMW reccomended 10k miles?

I Have almost your identical car, bought my 18' white M2 with 8500 miles for 44k with some blemishes on front bumper. I have put over 4k on it really quick and I don't travel for work anymore. Keeping miles off a car that depreciates anyway is stupid

Drive the crap out of it. When done go buy another great car to drive.
Day 1 of M car ownership.

Adjust the gauges to not show MPG.
