Maggio Motorsport M2C Time Attack Build

Hey guys,

Thought it was a good time to start a build thread, like other great TT car builds on here like OG shark and others

Follow us on instagram, tiktok and Youtube for more. Id greatly appreciate it!

@MaggioMotorsport

This off season we're working with ACE Performance (tweksbury, MA) and Bimmerworld to complete my M2C TT Build. I used Bimmerworlds GTMore build as a Starting point and guide for upgrades.

Of course I'm limited in some modification aspects by class rules so not every part can be maxed out.

Current Mods (might be forgetting a few)

Interior:
* M2 CS Alcantra racing wheel
* KMP CF magnetic paddles
* Rear seat delete
* Catalyst

Aero:
* M2 CS carbon rear diffuser
* ECS universal 71 inch Rear Wing Kit
* BMW M Performance Carbon Front lip
* APR Chassis mounted Front Splitter
* Bulletproof Automotive front Canards

Drivetrain:
* CSF Engine Oil Cooler
* Fall Line DCT Track package
* Fluids
Depending on series/class
* MHD M2 CS/GTS/ Stage 1 tune

Brakes:
* Hawk DCT-60 pads
* Brake lines
* Hawk HP660 Hi Temp Race Brake Fluid

Wheels & Tires
*Vorshlag Camber plates
* Forged one FF-10
* NANKANG CR-S v2
-245/35r19 fronts 265/35r19 rears

Front aero is tricky as some of you know, ran a bigger set up but ran into some overheating issues and it makes for an ecpensive off.

The goal was to run 18 inch wheels, more tire options, suspension, brakes, seats, cage harnesses and weight reduction.

After we gutted the interior i see why it weighs 3800 lbs.
approximate weights of removed interior
Front seats 75lbs each
Sunroof + assembly 50lbs
rear seats + belts 45lbs
Wireless phone charger 20lbs
ill let anyone know the exact weights if they're intrested

The parts List for the winter is :
* MCS 2-way adjustable Coilover kit with remote canisters
* Alcon front & rear brake kit
* Bimmerworld GTMore Suspension kit
* 18 inch TA8S square set up
* OMP HTE-R M-rain seats
* Sabelt 6 point harnesses
* Active autowerke catless race Single mid pipe with f brace
* Fall line Half cage
* KMP 6 button Race wheel with shift light
* Custom CF Sunroof delete mold
* Interior gut and weight reduction

Lap around Thompson Speedway

quick history on the car:
Bought it in 2021 online from (Swear this is actually true!) a 65 year old grandma in New jersey named Kitty Kat, with 7K on the clock.

I originally bought it for a fun HPDE car that i could drive to the track, beat on and drive home. My last personal TT car was a 06 WRX, and if you familar with the platform you know. It never worked the way i wanted it to, was a money pit and caught on fire more than once haha! Now the M2C lives on an aluminum Trailex trailer towed by my X5MC

Thanks guys

Very cool. Love those seats and the ///M livery on the exterior.

Curious to hear more about the front aero experience you reference.

Progress this week.

Rest of the winter upgrades came in and have been installed this week.

- Fall line bolt in cage
- MCS 2 way with remote canisters
- Alcon CR6420 380 Front Racing Brake Kit
- Alcon CAR4949 355 Rear Racing Brake Kit
- BimmerWorld GTMore suspension kit
- KMP custom Racing wheel
- Active Autowerks Single Mid-Pipe
- Bushings, Sway bars, endlinks ect..

If anyone has experience with mounting solutions for the front canisters please let me know, i haven't decided on mounting spots yet.

lots of suspension adjustments, TA8S wheel fitment and tons of coding

Still need to finish/install the custom sunroof delete panel, if anyone is interested in buying one let me know. Panel saves 51 lbs of roof weight vs oem roof with sunroof.

Also for those who asked Im making a post about the front aero as well

Updates 12/23

Car is coming together,

- Suspension
- Square 18 275/35r18 Hoosier Time Attack
- Bimmerworld TA8s 18x10
- ride height

clearance is tight between the tire and springs, so I might run a 5mm spacer for peace of mind

Heres some more pictures of the front aero for those who were interested, Im limited to 4 inches by class rules.

Some of the panels are out currently for other projects

- M Performance Carbon lip
- APR Front Splitter
- Bulletproof Auto Canards

We modified the lip to cover the holes in the bumper fangs then mounted it to the splitter so its all one piece for the best performance. Then covered our block off pieces and any spaces in between. It did feel wrong to wrap a carbon fiber piece with carbon fiber wrap haha!

We fabricated bracing and drilled through the bumper and canards to mount them. They only came with double sided tape haha. We're designing/testing new ones for the season based on the data with these.

Congratulations on the build!

This platform is fantastic—well done!

Since the car is already apart, I highly recommend addressing the fuel starvation issue that often occurs during fast right-handers. With access to the fuel tank now, it’s a perfect opportunity to implement a solution.

With your new setup and the increased grip from the upgraded tires, you’ll likely encounter this problem if the car runs below half a tank. Personally, I’ve to refuel after every 20–25-minute session to avoid it.

A potential fix is the Holley Hydramats, which some have successfully used to resolve this issue:
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...mat/hydramats/

Another option is BimmerWorld’s auxiliary pump kit, although I find the Hydramats more appealing if they deliver as promised:
https://www.bimmerworld.com/E46-Fuel...ation-Kit.html

Best of luck with the build—excited to see it completed.

Curious on your feedback on the TA Pro's compared to RE71RS's, CRS's...

How did you mount the splitter? Did you create a custom bracket?
