campy, nice.

I bought the rack but good to know the bike fits easily with the seats down. The rack is nice because it goes in in about 5 minutes and out in about the same and no need to put the dirty bike in the trunk (I ride gravel and mtb sometimes, road the bike never gets too dirty)
Exactly- only my road bike can squeeze in with the seats folded down, if needed, really no trouble.

I definitely wouldn't fit my Mtn bike in the back of the M2 - we have an SUV with racks for mtn bikes and skis.

With the help of peeps on the M2 forum, I finally updated my CarPly to full screen using BimmerCode.

My iStep was 03.21 - anything from March onwards can be changed to full screen using expert mode in BC

Bringing it to my Most Excellent Shop today (BimmerHaus in Broomfield-- I can't say good enough things about them) for installation/alignment of the MP-Suspension and Millway Street camber plates. I've finally got the Apex EC-7's and MP4S's in 255/275 on, so we're good to install, drop, adjust & align. Hopefully, the addition of the camber plates will negate the need for a 3-5mm front spacer due to the MP-S conical front spring. I should have it back mid-week, assuming we don't run into any issues.

2020 BMW M2C  [5.50]
Hit a milestone on the way to work this morning: 10,000 miles.

That's about 8,300 miles since last August. Not a ton of miles, but beats sitting in the garage.

Id be careful though, the M2 roof is made out of cheese and will dent easily.

I about bought a seasucker but the BMW thule rack goes in in 5 minutes, I can carry more than 1 bike and its more secure in the long run, long trips you are suppose to stop to pump the seasucker once in a while and I just did not want to deal with that.

Noted, I'll keep that in mind.

Yes they are. That 13 mile stretch of 221 from grandfather mountain to blowing rock is ridiculous. So tight and so many corners, I just left it in 3rd and had a blast. My wheels have never looked worse then the 3 days I've spent here, the break dust is real.

Very nice. What are you using for cleaning the wheels?

Cleaning the 788 rims is the absolute WORST part about it...I dislike quite a bit and is a PITA as all could attest (bruised knuckles, knee/back/joints pains). To get it showroom quality clean, you'd need a min 10-15 min per rim to get it shiny...and my joints are aging man.

Regardless, here is what I use to clean my rims:

- IK Foam 12 (a must have for wheel cleaning)
- P&S Brake Buster
- Plethora of wheel brushes
1.WOOLLYWORMIT (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
2. Soft bristle rim brush https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
3. Mother's wheel brush & tire cleaner (or similar)

Also, despite what some YouTube vids may show/say, you DO NEED TO MANUALLY SCRUB the rims, no matter what wheel cleaner you'd choose.

Lastly, I found out the P&S Brake Buster seems to work best on dry and dirty rims (i.e. don't hit it with a pressure washer before applying Brake Buster). Allow the foaming action from the IK Foam 12 do its thing first, then hit the rims afterwards with a pressure washer...

YMMV, but that's my finding on how to best clean those pesky 788 rims.

P.S. Derailing thought: I bought Auto Fanatic Professional Wheel & Tire Super Mega Foam after seeing many positive YouTube vids (including Pan the Organizer). Majority say or show in their vids "spray, let it sit, rinse off" and boom, magically clean rim. I say, that's allotta bull-kaka, as I still needed to manually scrub and agitate with brushes to get it properly clean.

Quick side story. 30+ years ago I had an '87 Shelby Daytona. This was at the end of the CB craze so I had a portable unit with a magnetic mount antenna on the roof and the cable out the side window to it.

On a trip somewhere in the Mexican (Virginia) mountains I decided the test the performance and punched it. Somewhat north of 100 MPH, BOOM! Scared me to death, but not a tire issue and the car felt fine. But in the passenger side mirror, I could see the antenna stuck to the rear fender. I pulled over and re-installed it on the roof. No damage but I learned a lesson as I watched all the cars go by that I'd just passed...

intersted in why the IK Foam cannon(?) is a must have... Does the spray bottle of P&S BB (I've never used this product) do that for you? thanks for the tip as I've been trying to figure out the best method to cleaning these spiderwebs of a wheel.

I haven't found any spry bottles to work as well as the IK Foamer 12. A couple KEY benefits of using the IK foamer:
1. Well, it foams like a volcano: the output is really like shaving foam, sticks to wheel and slowly drips the dirt away
2. It has a long wand, that I can insert deep down the wheel barrel

So the stickiness of the foam, along with strategic placement does a very good job in getting rid of a decent amount of dirt, iron particulates, etc. still need manual agitation, but I am ~70-80 % cleaned up

are you using on the 788's with or without the gloss black? I have the later and wonder if the P&S has any limitations with gloss finishes. thanks.

Gave the M2C a good cleaning and stored it for the next two weeks as I'm out on a holiday with the family… picking up some autoroute km in the new G21…

After we get back the M2C gets fresh oil at 10k km and we'll probably do a Saturday drive to the Nurburgring…
