New CS owner!

Arrived tonight. HS 6MT, PO did full PPF, a Dinan exhaust and the BMW HAS. My third F87 after 2x OG M2’s. Had a bit of a detour into a P car and wanted something a little wilder and angry. P car was a scalpel. Im planning on an Autosolutions SSK and CDV delete.

Congrats! Definitely make the Autosolutions SSK top priority. It notably enhances the entire driving experience, IMO.

Looks awesome. Love that combo.

How do you like the Dinan exhaust? I’ve almost pulled the trigger early on, but could decide if the tips were too bug for the M2. Looks pretty good from what I can see up in the truck.

Congrats!

I think it looks great. They are big but they’re nice and tucked in. Only when you get down low do you see that they could swallow a small animal I came out of an OG M2 with a Dinan exhaust so I’m partial to them. Haven’t ripped it around yet because I’m waiting for my insurance slip. I’ll report back on sound.

Feedback on the Dinan. Sounds good, OEM plus. No drone. Actually a bit quiet for my taste. I’d like more rumble and a more aggressive tone on downshifts. I’m too new to understand how the CS valves work but I’ll start with a valve controller.

And I will say the reports are right, this car is a hairy little beast in the best possible way!

Is anyone running an Ultimate Clutch pedal on their CS? If yes, how is it versus stock?

Congrats on the CS! I have installed the UCP and have performed the CDV delete on my M2C, it’s a night and day difference. I regret waiting too long to do those modifications - highly recommend both. The height of the clutch pedal being the same as the brake pedal makes the upgrade worth it just for comfort, you can then dial in your clutch pedal engagement to your preference. Many threads/videos on install it’s fairly straight forward.

If you are looking for a more mechanical shifting experience, some have upgraded to the Turner Motorsport polyurethane rear shifter bushing, while some ultimately go aftermarket shifter altogether.

Gorgeous car, love HS on gold, so unique and special…you’re likely already in love, but every time you drive this thing it’ll just get deeper. I’ve had many nights just sitting in my garage, beer in hand, just looking at it / admiring it. It’s the perfect package, happy it’s in good hands!

Exhaust is a bit of Pandora’s box on these things…can go AA EL midpipe (resonated) and Remus race back box for what’s seemingly consensus on the best sounding loud setup (I don’t personally know, just what I read here). Can start with just doing an AA EL midpipe unresonated and keeping the dinan back box, but there’s a chance you get a brutal rasp on cold start and for the first 2-5 mins of driving if you don’t let it fully warm up. I had that with my stock CS back box so went to resonated mid pipe. Absolutely love the sound now, much more clean and collected, but unresonated (once warm) was definitely more violent and visceral, especially on downshift like you mentioned. Hit or miss on who experiences the cold start rasp / what combinations have it…and it’s easy enough to go back and add resonators if needed, so could just give it a try.

Either way, congrats on the car, it’s gorgeous and welcome to the CS community!

Stunning !! For me, HS is the next color behind MB and both on gold wheels. That gold gives it an elegant look.
