2020 BMW M2 CS  [7.50]
Hello. Apologies for rehashing a topic that has been discussed quite a bit over the years. But wanted to get some feedback on tire size compatability on the M2CS from who have success running increased tire sizes.

I want to increase tire size with the following criteria:
- m2cs
- Absolutely no rubbing
- stock m2cs rim
- stock suspension
- can use spacers
- no camber accessories

Would love to get the rear to 285 or 295 but those sizes are usually limited due to the front limitations.

**would also like to get fronts to 265.

Really like the stock rims on the CS and want to weigh my options with them oppose to ‘upgrading’ the rim.

You can run most 295's on the rear without rubbing if you're on the stock suspension. Of course, this is going to cause your handling to be a bit weird because the front is a 245. You can increase the front to a 255 without much issue because the 245 star spec PSS is about as wide as a 255.

You really need to find the tire you want first, as it makes a huge difference.

If you're looking at a 285 PS4S it's nearly the same size as the 265, but a 285 888R will be vastly wider.

I'd also do a google search for Bimmerpost max width on stock wheels, as all F87's have basically the same fitment, and many run 295's on the rear without issue.

I ran 295/35/19 on my stock M2CS wheels and even run that tire on H&R coils and had no issues. Up front I was on the stock 245’s

Also, note that adding tire width without increasing the width of the rim will have its own impact on how it drives and is not necessarily advantageous.

I would like to change the cup2’s of my M2cs, with PS4S. But I can not believe the above mentioned sizing differences. Mphatic, have you seen those tyres side by side?

Because 245-265 is the width of the tyre in cm… If it is 285 ps4s, it should be 2cm wider than the 265 pss.
(As far as I know, star rating only changes the compound of the tyre, therefore characteristics of it.)

You're forgetting one very important thing; there is no standardization in tire sizing.

None.

It's perfectly legal, and normal for a tire manufacturer to put 245 on the sidewall of a 265, and they do, to cheat, for racing.

1. Go to tirerack.com
2. Pull the tires up side by side and look at the TREAD WIDTH
3. Win
