Rapid shift changes after 5k rpm bring the double tap exhaust cracks. Worth the wait.
I missed my MPE and it's low 3k rpm burbles but now I live for the higher rpms- something missing from BMW M family since the shift to turbo M's 7-8 years ago. |

2 weeks and 4800 miles
I picked up my car two weeks ago in NJ, drove around New England for a week visiting family for break-in (NJ, VT, NH, CT). Picked up a buddy at JFK and started a cross-country flogging of my CS! Arrived in SD 13 days later with 4883 joyous miles on the odometer (and a second set of rears). Just crossed 5k after its washing... subtlechaos or 2020.m2cs on insta if you wanna see the pics.

Took delivery January 5th, currently sitting at 1169 miles and hasn't been driven in 3 weeks. Waiting for a chance to make it's 50 mile trip to the dealer for it's 1200 mile service.

I was. Just not in the way you think... We took on a nail, too close to the side wall to repair, on a Thursday evening while in Tucson. It was either wait 2 days for a replacement or take 2 Hankook's off the shelf to 'limp' on home.
The Pilot Super Sports held up to a good flogging at Tail of the Dragon, as did the steel brakes, which never faded lap after lap after lap. This is, by far, the best M car ever made (never got to drive an actual M1, but have nearly all the others). Last edited by jdl8r; 05-11-2021 at 10:15 AM.. |

You've picked one heck of a great first for a moving to FR!
This car will let you play, learn the limits of yourself (and the car), and it won't reach out and bite you if you make a small mistake. DSC or MDM will prevent you from getting too far ahead of yourself. I'd highly recommend an autox or M Performance school. Safe way to stretch yourself with less risks. |

Don't think it's the same spot, but almost! Top of Cherohala Skyway, Nantahala National Forest in TN. Sitting on 4,144 miles after the round trip. Right after this shot, buddy and I got an escort from the Forest Service due to a fire. As the road was closed all day, when they let us go we were the only 2 cars on the mountain, 30 miles to Robbinsville at sunset. Might've been the best drive of my life…
