Yup currently working with kunax86 now. We’re just in different time zones. Don’t hesitate to use him! We connected remotely and watched him work, my friend is a coder for a living and was definitely impressed!!

Guys - seriously - don't hesitate AT ALL to use kunax86. My situation was a quite complicated issue, as I am a US specification car outside of the US, and while it took a little while to get my problems resolved (VPC blocked many functions before delivery) he was able to work them all out without any issues. I am beyond impressed. Better yet, he's extremely responsive and is easy to work with even though he's in a different time zone.

In fact, I'm going to be using him again next week to change the geo-location on my idrive as well as get my local maps to work. I've been waiting 2 years for this as BMW wasn't any help, so to say I'm excited is an understatement!

Seems my car was a little more complicated for whatever reason.

I hadn't even activated Car Play to begin with. So when i contacted kubax86 he replied immediately. After a couple failed attempts, he offered to remotely login through my laptop and diagnose the issue.

Ten minutes later, i have the full screen apple car play enabled and its awesome.

US Spec BMW using Apple Carplay in Germany -
I noticed above that someone was apple to use their apple carplay on their US Spec BMW in Germany, how do you enable this? I was informed that the bmw-connected setup would need to be activated and in use in the states in order to use carplay? If anyone knows otherwise, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't know if this common knowledge as I didn't see much talk about this but I have a RHD car and the Apple menu was on the left which is a bit stupid. After full screen activation my menu is now on the right which is awesome. I have seen a few vids of RHD with the menu still on the left.

Just putting it out there as it appears u have a choice.

Don't know if this is already mentioned here but my iphone gets very hot after a long while in the wireless charger. I think it get so hot that it start flipping en pausing music and acting really laggy to control

It is not a wireless charger but wireless convection oven.

Also noticed in the phone settings it say WiFi low data mode.
