Did removing the boost pipe help with getting to the diverter valve bolts as well?

I actually tried that route and got frustrated with the allen slipping off the bolt. There wasn't a ton of room to move around with the wrench either.

You've got 2 choices for the allen wrench - Order a standard 'L" style off of amazon and hack off the small bit, then use ratchet w/ lots of extensions (wobble extensions help here) and a 5mm socket or try and buy one with the socket portion already attached.

Sorry for the late reply but to me it looks like the car is making less torque in most of the powerband, except the very end. Am I reading the graph wrong?

Yeh seems that way. Either run variance or not tied down enough a possibility, but if the latter the case the results are by all accounts still 'similar'...

If you're on the fence can highly recommend it.

I already bought the pipe.
Some videos say the breather hose will likely crack during the install so I am seeing to order that part before doing it.

As long as you're careful the breather hose should be ok. I didn't have any issues. I think it'll more brittle if your car has higher mileage

You’re reading it wrong. The axis are not scaled the same - if you keep reading the thread, there is a more proper overlay that doesn’t show a loss in power.

I scaled the Y-Axis a bit and tried my best to align the HP numbers (ignore the torque, the scale is off on that).

I think regardless, it shows a good improvement on the top end for sure.
Here.

I installed one with the Turbosmart DV9 - a noticeable increase in throttle response, and lower WGDC.

Would a custom tune help Vs OTS with cars running wider turbo inlets at all? Could you tune for higher power at higher rpm perhaps?

you could. but i imagine the gains are minimal. the OTS tunes already give more power up top. if you had the inlet coupled with a bigger turbo then yeah 100% custom tune will help.

Technically yes. You would have more headroom to make more power based on a lower WGDC and flow, but it wouldn't be much. Running something like the BM3 E30+ tune would basically tap out the turbo, so there wouldn't be much more to give.

Would a stage 1 turbo constitute a bigger turbo then and do better with a wider inlet?

Just wondering what OEM+ hardware options there are.

Does anyone know if the V2 is just different in the aluminum part…. the flexible pipe is shared by both version?

Both my AA downpipe and MST inlet + diverter are all ready to go next week. Are they at all close to each other in a way that would be advantageous to do them together offering more space for the DV and inlet install?

I know the DP isn’t that hard to install….and the inlet “a challenge”. I’m just wondering coz otherwise I can get that both done together.

Or is the only similarity is that they are both on the passenger side of the car?

DP is installed from below/under the car by removing a cover plate, you can see it (DP) in engine bay but you can't get to it that way.

Diverter valve I believe is low down, it's a pain to get the last screw out even for a mechanic, no where near turbo inlet so it's an irrelevance when factoring installation approach.

The Dv and inlet are right next to eachother.
