Our first Hockenheim Silver

Quick look at our first Hockenheim Silver. This color is definitely something special.

I can't get past that difference in color between the fender and bumper. This makes HS a deal breaker for me.

You don't see the difference in color between the front fender and bumper in the second photo? The difference is almost as pronounced as the difference between the front fender and hood wrap.

Geez, you're right. That looks terrible.

I certainly wouldn't pay $62k for that.

The car still has protective wrapping on it. I bet once it is cleaned up it looks great.

Hockenheim is unique as it changes with the sunlight. So depending on the angle of the sun you will see the color change as in the photo above with the fender and bumper.

I figured that's what it was. LBB changes color depending on lighting too but I've never seen it make panels look different in pictures or in real life.

True. Everything I've read is that it's impossible to judge by looking at pictures. So seeing it in person is the only way to judge it, and from all the posts of folks who've actually seen it up close and personal, I have to conclude that it looks great!

That's lighting from the picture. In person it won't be noticeable. All pearl whites or light metallic silver colors like this will show slight differences from the transition from metal to plastic panels in photos depending on the lighting. Nothing to be concerned about.

Exactly! The pics don't do it justice. I'll take some more pics of the car once it's cleaned up.

Somehow that warm creamy AW in the background caught my eyes even more...

Is there a defect with the paint on this model? I have seen this on a few others. Are customers complaining or is this just a lighting issue?

Just lighting and processing (you can see the processing is almost making the paint look matte) by the OP's camera. If you look at the first picture and the white M2 in the background (top left) the picture would have you believe the front bumper cover is shade is a little off compared to the fender where they meet..

Def just lighting. In person this color looks amazing. Here's a shot I took while under interior lighting of HS. It's quite a breathtaking color, can't wait to get mine!

I agree with the above posters. I saw one in person and it isn't mismatched like that. The metallic / pearl effect just changes drastically with the angle of the lighting.
