I haven't been able to reproduce this after my first drive to be honest.

After my first drive I was pressing on the housing to see if I could find a loose area and something snapped into place. Perhaps it was an error on my behalf where the mirrors were not lined up perfectly.

Someone needs to park next to an M2Comp and take a photo. I would love to see how they compare side by side under the same photographic conditions.

Anyone that have installed with lhd have this problem? I am not sure to buy due to fact that mirrors are different left to right. And Bmw for m2/m4 developed rhd/lhd model to avoid this result. Any picture in detail is much appreciated!!

Hmm...after taking a longer drive today there is definitely a whistle that is intermittent and hard to reproduce, only on drivers side. However when it is there it is just loud enough to be really annoying.

It seems to have to do with cross wind more than a specific speed.

I do notice there is a bit of a gap on fitment on the drivers side mirror where the base meets the housing that is not present on the passenger side. I'm hoping I just messed up assembling it, so I'll pull it apart later this week and see if I can resolve it.

Mine is on the passenger side (rhd) i think the coincidence both of us messing up installation in the same side is unlikely

Is your noise consistent with what I described? I do have an obvious misalignment/fitment problem only on the drivers side that I want to attempt to sort out.

I wonder if these were designed for LHD mirror mounts. Do you have more pictures?

Having a really hard time installing these by myself even with the video instructions. Getting the housing back on and lined up correctly is a pain in the ass. I've given up for the day

Yeah as I said it's much easier with a second set of hands. I found it easiest to put pressure against the blinker mechanism to hold it all in place.

Have done that. Even after I get all the screw holes In line with one another and go to reassemble the bottom and top parts of the housing don't line up 100% and I can't clip the cap on. Then I have to take all the screws out and try again...

Guess I'll have to enlist a friend to try and help me tmrw...

Hmm that's strange. Are you sure all of the holes truly lined up on the bottom of the housing? The screw holes in the housing physically pop/seat into a bracket in the mirror assembly. This was the hardest part for me, requiring my eyes to get those holes lined up 100% and have someone else holding the housing together.

Even after all that I'm thinking I messed up on the drivers side and need to take it apart to double check.

Yup. Have both of these hole lined up when reassembling. Some how it still ends up not lining up correctly when i proceed to the next step.

Yeah that's exactly what's wrong on mine as well. I suspect that's where my whistling sound is coming from. Unfortunate.

It is lined up perfectly on my passenger side however.
