Me too . . . and got both. It's called DCT.

Ok, please, for the love of God, do not take my comments and turn the next 10 pages into a DCT vs MT pissing match . . . I am just having fun.

Sorry guys, got here as soon as I could. I'm here for the MT vs DCT fight. Kidding

Congrats OP and welcome back! As far as sunglasses I tend to horde them in the car for some reason. I typically store them in the cup holder, the small tray behind the cupholder, in a case in the glovebox, or in the center armrest cubby. For the cupholder I have a setup now where I have a keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer, sunglasses, and use the ear loops of my mask to keep it all together. What a world we now live in.

Congrats on the new car!

I keep my sunglasses in the door storage. There is a raised area towards the back that my sunglasses sit in very nicely.

As long as I have control over shift points, I'm happy.

As someone who has a HS/Orange M2C on order that should enter production any day now, can we get some interior pics?

Looks great. I went out of my way to find the one and only orange interior M2 in the area before ordering. It looks a lot better in person than in pictures.

What made you select manual over DCT? I was thinking DCT but in all honesty I think I would tire very quickly of paddle shifting and sticking the car in automatic mode all the time. Its very boring to me versus having the clutch and shifting.

As you describe correctly its boring to use paddle shifters for DCT, while DCT transmission is good and faster than the manual i just love manual cars where i can control the car totally myself. I also have a paddle shifter in my TL and hardly use it , just drive it in D mode and therefore i need a manual car for fun driving.

NZ and Boss

I live in DCT manual mode and never touch the paddles . . . the shifter is for shifting, not the paddles.

The DCT experience is not anything like a torque converter auto. I've had "paddles" in my last several, and have barely had the desire to "shift" myself. With the M2, I am hardly ever in auto mode.

Without trying to go DCT vs manual, you can fully control the M2 with a DCT, and you dont have to use the paddles. Use the shifter

And here we go....

PS: I use the paddles all the time. Although I enjoyed the manuals I had, I've been a convert to the new tech....

Congrats.

Same spec as mine, except no moonroof.

I bought my 2021 M2C without having ever driven one or *in* one. Best decision ever. This car surprised me in so many positive ways: the power, interior ergonomics, seats, positioning, sound, I love everything about it.

What shocked me the most is how much more menacing and muscular M2C looks in person. I saw hundreds of photos and none of them captured this.

Guys this thing revs like crazy in sports plus mode, difficult to keep below 5k rpm under break jn period, i believe you can rev till 5500 rpm .

Whats the best tire pressure , i think 35 is bit high for the 19 inch tire specs , can I lower to 32/ 33 for better ride ?

I think I went to 6k once. By accident. Otherwise, the car stays below 5k the entire time.

BMW does offer a glasses case that attaches to a sun visor via an included velcro band

Part Number 51-16-0-422-717

https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...se-51160422717

I have one

It's simple and it works fairly well

Not as good as an having an actual built-in storage compartment, but better than nothing
