Will there be a 2021 BMW M2 GTS ?
Now that the M2 CS is out all I'm thinking is will the be a GTS model?
If we look at the M4 model we have a timeline of M4 - September 25, 2013 M4 GTS - October 7 2015 M4 Competition - February 2016 M4 CS - April 19 2017 What do you guys think, will Bmw make a GTS version of the M2? The S55 has plenty more to give! Personally I would like too se a hardcore version with rear seat delete and a roll cage |

I don’t think there is any way we will see an M2 GTS. The M4 GTS was a complete flop and I can’t see them repeating the same mistake.

M2 CS is supposed to be the last F87 M2 I believe is what some have said.

M4 GTS should of been named CSL and probably would of sold better by just the name change!

Maybe for the G series M2 there will be a CSL. But that is not until 2025 or later. G Series M2 is not supposed to start production until December 2022, so by the time the special editions come, it may be 2025 or later.

Imagine what the cost would be if BMW had to go back to the drawing board and design a vehicle from scratch. They'll never recoup their investment, so it's not going to happen and I don't blame them. |

I distinctly remember the E46 CSL, even though it never made it stateside.
The M2 CS is sort of a throwback to that concept |

August 2019 One more F87 M2 model is possible. Just looking at timing, it should be something very special, with a very short production run. And it will be US only. |

What's left in the parts bin to add for the CSL/GTS?
Water Injected S55 GTS Bucket Seat Roll Cage CF fender at front CF trunk Coilover New Wheel/Tire + CCB standard I bet I'd be same weight or more, with those addition. Asking 110+K (twice the base) for such a car (MY2021) doesn't make a good business case because: 1) A Limited Production Run = difficult to recoup the R&D 2) not sure there is a market for a 110+k little 2 series (in the mighty USA of course). 3) Positioning a 2 series variant of old platform higher than the core M car (G80/82) sounds going against BMW philosophy.

I've ordered a M2 CS, and to be honest is a CSL lost the rear seats then my reason to buy it would vanish. There are far better 2 seat cars for less money.
