M2s holding value
Someone tell me why the OG first year M2's are STILL over 40k! Im surprised its holding its value this well. When can we expect them to come lower than 30?

My guess is at least one year from now.

Not so sure,
OG m2 will most likely hold value because its already a bargain. Some clean s2000 are low 30’s where I live, I doubt m2 will go lower than that even in couple years |

They might drop to 30k just before the new 2 series comes out in 2023. Then when everyone sees that the 2s are becoming yet another land yaht then prices will go back up. Who knows.

Over here, M2C are dropping very fast. My dealer has 2 for a while now (new).
OG just dropped under €40.000 (with 65.000km). OG's official CO2 output is way less than M2C (due to new WLPT) so I guess less taxes... Dealer has 3 (used, sitting for 3+ months, all three 20.000km for around €50.000). |

When I was shopping for an OG (6-speed) in June 2019, there was only 1 local to me (except for a private sale over with an over $50K asking).
Searching just now for 2016-2018, I only find four 6-speed M2s within 500 miles of my Boston-area zip code. (And all are listed over $40K, with one at $48K and another at $52K -- asking price of course) |

It would be interesting to know, when you're negotiating the M2 CS price in a couple of weeks with a BMW dealer, what the reply will be when you point out those 10-20% BMW M discounts on brandnew dealer cars publicly advertised early October 2019 by BMW.

An M3 CS (SMB) with 2032km dropped from €129.265 to €84.480 (€44.785 discount or 34.65%). An M4 CS (SMB) with 3km dropped from €126.350 to €99.990 (€26.360 discount or 20.86%). An M4 CS (BSM) with 6000km dropped from €133.305 to €99.995 (€33.310 discount or 24.99%). And for an M4 GTS with 182km €15K was knocked off (dropped from €190K to €175K). So it must be crisis.

Even a 10% discount would be a good starting point for me, we did that with my wife's LCI. I'm hoping this happens when snow hits the ground... |

Hopefully we get this here in Canada and I can get one. Even though I love my wife's LCI I keep telling her we need a real "M" car. Suffice to say I've been rather lonely lately... |
