1 Year in. Still love this car!

So just past my 1st anniversary, still in love with this car as much as the day I took her home.
Seems the more familiar I become with her, the more I am incredibly impressed with how perfect it is.
No mods yet, no driving need for them at this point . Keep thinking a little more power would be good, but haven't felt the the real need for it yet.
The sound! Couldn't be more perfect if I wanted it. Honestly I'm afraid of messing with it. I really don't want it louder, as I think it's a perfect balance now. Letting everybody know it's there, but not annoying.
And the looks! Even after a year, I still find some time occasionally just to go sit in the garage and stare at her.
So count me in as an incredibly satisfied BMW owner. Could not think of any other car in the lineup, in my price range, I would chose over my fantastic M2.

Agreed. I live in north Georgia and the roads there are perfect for it. Twisty, elevated and varying topography. The car performs so well and surprisingly (or not), I enjoy it more at sub 60mph speeds and downshifting. Those burbling growling sounds are fun!

I agree. A little over one year in for me and this is the best BMW I have ever owned.

There's never a "need" for more power, but it certainly makes driving more exciting.

Wow... we must have purchased our M2's within days of each other!

I picked my mineral grey 2018 M2 up on March 28, 2018! Coming up on one year any day now!

I was keeping an eye on changing the exhaust. I came across someone local, with a Dinan exhaust. He was planning to replace it with the MPE, so that he would have the bluetooth remote to open/close exhaust flaps.

I met him, heard the Dinan exhaust, and agreed on a price! Didn't have to pay for shipping, because we just met at the shop, and after they removed the Dinan from his car, they installed it on mine!

Car sounds much more agressive, more burbling... it sounds amazing! However, the car sounded great even before!

Anyways... it is an amazing, fun car! No regrets after nearly a year!

+1 with enthusiasm! Like others who already posted, it puts a smile on my face every time I see it, every time I drive it even after 1.5 years. And I agree that no mods are necessary. I've seen some cool ones posted here, but haven't felt the need myself. Still loving the car as was delivered.

my only issue would be the seats after about a 2 hour drive.
That and I could use more trunk space, this is also why I bought the car size.

I haven't even had mine for a month and I am already bored. Wish I could be like you lol. Although my boredom isn't with the car per se as it is a fun car but from BMW in general considering it's my 6th one in 4 years.

No prob for me.

I echo the Op's feelings about my car. It's been a year for me also, since the 12th. This car is just what I wanted. I can't think of anything I don't like, other than the excess attention it draws, but that's a first world problem.

I'm with you OP.

Not quite a year yet but she is off the jack stands and on the street again. Driving the M2 makes me smile even in heavy DC traffic.

Twisties or an open road simply means an ear to ear grin.

I find myself saying "burble burble" when I drive it. I don't understand why.

Great post OP.

I feel the same way. Coming up on a year in about two weeks!

I'm with the rest of you on lack of mods aside from a couple.

While small I consider it a HUGE improvement - ASD bypass harness. I couldn't stand using sport mode without it. Naturally after installing I'm always in sport!

The other very small mod is the IND painted keyhole cover.

Exhaust has been on my mind lately as well. I like the idea and price point of the Dinan but I just can't stand the way the muffler looks. I can't un-see it as like an old tin bean can or something.

Congrats! It's been 1 year today (9 April) for us. Still in love with the car, even though I don't drive it as much as I should. 6800 miles in 1 year. I think it's due for a celebratory outing today.

Maybe 30 miles old in this pic.

I usually get an itch about the three year mark. I am approaching this anniversary but have no desire to replace my hard to see gauges, regular 2 series seats, non M mirrored, N55 engined with 46,000 miles Long Beach blue car.
